1Cántico gradual. De David. Me llené de gozo cuando me dijeron: “Iremos a la Casa de Yahvé.” A Canticle in steps. I rejoiced in the things that were said to me: “We shall go into the house of the Lord.”2Ya se posan nuestros pies ante tus puertas, ¡oh Jerusalén! Our feet were standing in your courts, O Jerusalem.3Jerusalén, que estás edificada, como la ciudad cuya comunidad le está bien unida. Jerusalem has been built as a city, whose participation is unto itself.4Allá suben las tribus, las tribus de Yah; es ley para Israel celebrar allí el Nombre de Yahvé. For to that place, the tribes ascended, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to confess to the name of the Lord.5Allí se han establecido los tronos para el juicio, los tronos de la casa de David. For in that place, seats have sat down in judgment, seats above the house of David.6Saludad a Jerusalén: “Gocen de seguridad los que te aman; Petition for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem, and for abundance for those who love you.7reine la paz dentro de tus muros, la felicidad en tus palacios.” Let peace be in your virtue, and abundance in your towers.8Por amor a mis hermanos y amigos exclamo: Paz sobre ti.
