Salmos 143
1De David. Bendito sea Yahvé, mi piedra; Él adiestra mis manos para la pelea, mis dedos para la guerra; A Psalm of David versus Goliath. Blessed is the Lord, my God, who trains my hands for the battle and my fingers for the war.2Él es mi alcázar y mi libertador, el broquel con que me cubro; Él es quien me somete los pueblos. My mercy and my refuge, my supporter and my deliverer, my protector and him in whom I have hoped: he subdues my people under me.3Yahvé ¿qué es el hombre para que de él te ocupes, el hijo de hombre para que pienses en él? O Lord, what is man that you have become known to him? Or the son of man that you consider him?4El hombre es semejante al soplo del viento; sus días, como sombra que pasa. Man has been made similar to vanity. His days pass by like a shadow.5Oh Yahvé, inclina tus cielos y desciende; toca los montes y humearán. O Lord, incline your heavens and descend. Touch the mountains, and they will smoke.6Arroja tu rayo y dispérsalos, asesta tus flechas y desconciértalos. Send a flash of lightning, and you will scatter them. Shoot your arrows, and you will set them in disarray.7Extiende tu mano desde lo alto y arrebátame sálvame de las muchas aguas, del poder de gente extranjera, Send forth your hand from on high: rescue me, and free me from many waters, from the hand of the sons of foreigners.8que con la boca habla mentiras, y con la diestra jura en falso. Their mouth has been speaking vain things, and their right hand is the right hand of iniquity.9Quiero cantarte, oh Dios, un cántico nuevo, con el salterio de diez cuerdas te cantaré: To you, O God, I will sing a new song. On the psaltery, with an instrument of ten strings, I will sing psalms to you.10“El que da la victoria a los reyes, que salvó a David, su siervo, de la fatal espada, He gives salvation to kings. He has redeemed your servant David from the malignant sword.11me ha salvado y me ha librado de la mano de gente extranjera, que con la boca habla mentiras y con la diestra jura en falso. Rescue me, and deliver me from the hand of the sons of foreigners. Their mouth has been speaking vain things, and their right hand is the right hand of iniquity.12Nuestros hijos son como plantas que crecen en la flor de su edad; nuestras hijas, como columnas de ángulo, talladas para adorno de un palacio. Their sons are like new plantings in their youth. Their daughters are dressed up: adorned all around like the idols of a temple.13Nuestros graneros están llenos, rebosantes de toda clase de frutos. Nuestras ovejas, mil veces fecundas, se multiplican a miríadas en nuestros campos; Their cupboards are full: overflowing from one thing into another. Their sheep bear young, brought forth in abundance.14nuestros bueyes son robustos. No hay brechas ni salidas en nuestros muros ni llanto en nuestras plazas.” Their cattle are fat. There is no ruined wall or passage, nor anyone crying out in their streets.15Dichoso el pueblo que tanto tiene; dichoso el pueblo cuyo Dios es Yahvé. They have called the people that has these things: blessed. But blessed is the people whose God is the Lord.
