Salmos 4
1Al maestro de música. Para instrumentos de cuerda. Salmo de David. In parts according to verses. A Psalm of David.2Cuando te invoque, óyeme ¡oh Dios de mi justicia! Tú, que en la tribulación me levantaste, ten misericordia de mí, y acoge mi súplica. When I called upon him, the God of my justice heeded me. In tribulation, you have enlarged me. Have mercy on me, and heed my prayer.3Hijos de hombres ¿hasta cuándo seréis insensatos? ¿Por qué amáis la vanidad y buscáis lo que es mentira? Sons of men, how long will you be dull in heart, so that whatever you love is in vain, and whatever you seek is false? Pause4Sabed que Yahvé favorece maravillosamente al santo suyo; cuando le invoco, Yahvé me oye. And know this: the Lord has made wondrous his holy one. The Lord will heed me when I cry out to him.5Temblad, y no queráis pecar; dentro de vuestros corazones, en vuestros lechos, recapacitad y enmudeced. Be angry, and do not be willing to sin. The things that you say in your hearts: be sorry for them on your beds. Pause6Ofreced sacrificios de justicia, y esperad en Yahvé. Offer the sacrifice of justice, and hope in the Lord. Many say, “Who reveals to us what is good?”7Muchos dicen: “¿Quién nos mostrará los bienes?” Alza Tú sobre nosotros la luz de tu rostro, oh Yahvé. The light of your countenance, Lord, has been sealed upon us. You have given joy to my heart.8Tú has puesto en mi corazón mayor alegría que cuando abunda trigo y vino. By the fruit of their grain, wine, and oil, they have been multiplied.9Apenas me acuesto, me duermo en paz, porque Tú me das seguridad, oh Yahvé. In peace itself, I will sleep and I will rest.
