Salmos 70
1En Ti, Yahvé, me refugio, no me vea nunca confundido. A Psalm of David. Of the sons of Jonadab and the former captives. In you, O Lord, I have hoped; do not let me be brought to ruin forever.2Líbrame por obra de tu justicia y sácame del peligro; inclina a mí tu oído y sálvame. Free me by your justice, and rescue me. Incline your ear to me, and save me.3Sé para mí la roca que me acoja, el baluarte seguro en que me salves, porque mi roca y mi alcázar eres Tú. Be a God of protection and a place of strength for me, so that you may accomplish my salvation. For you are my firmament and my refuge.4Líbrame, Dios mío, de las manos del inicuo, de las garras del impío y del opresor, Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the sinner, and from the hand of the unjust and those who act against the law.5porque Tú, Señor, eres mi esperanza; Tú, Yahvé, el objeto de mi confianza desde mi niñez. For you, O Lord, are my patience: my hope from my youth, O Lord.6En Ti he descansado desde el seno materno, desde el vientre de mi madre Tú eres mi protector; mi esperanza ha estado siempre en Ti. In you, I have been confirmed from conception. From my mother’s womb, you are my protector. In you, I will sing forever.7A muchos he aparecido como un portento, porque Tú eras mi poderoso auxiliador. I have become to many as if I were a portent, but you are a strong helper.8Llénese mi boca de tus alabanzas y de tu gloria todo el día. Let my mouth be filled with praise, so that I may sing your glory, your greatness all day long.9No me deseches en el tiempo de la vejez; cuando me falten las fuerzas no me desampares; Do not cast me off in the time of old age. Do not abandon me when my strength will fail.10pues ya hablan de mí mis enemigos, y espiándome se conciertan a una, For my enemies have spoken against me. And those who watched for my soul have taken counsel as one,11y dicen: “Dios lo ha abandonado; perseguidle y prendedle, pues no hay quien lo libre.” saying: “God has abandoned him. Pursue and overtake him. For there is no one to rescue him.”12Oh Dios, no quieras alejarte de mí; Dios mío, apresúrate a socorrerme. O God, do not be far from me. O my God, provide for my assistance.13Sean confundidos y aniquilados los que atentan contra mi vida; cúbranse de afrenta y rubor los que buscan mi daño. May they be confounded, and may they fail, who drag down my soul. Let them be covered with confusion and shame, who seek evils for me.14Mas yo siempre esperaré, y te añadiré alabanzas cada día. But I will always have hope. And I will add more to all your praise.15Mi boca anunciará, sin cesar, tu justicia y tus favores, bien que no conozco su medida. My mouth will announce your justice, your salvation all day long. For I have not known letters.16Entraré a hablar de las gestas divinas; de Ti solo, oh Yahvé, proclamaré la justicia. I will enter into the powers of the Lord. I will be mindful of your justice alone, O Lord.17Desde mi mocedad me has enseñado Tú, oh Dios, y hasta el presente voy predicando tus maravillas. You have taught me from my youth, O God. And so I will declare your wonders continuously,18En mi vejez y decrepitud no quieras tampoco desampararme, Dios mío, hasta que manifieste tu brazo a esta generación, tu poder a todas las venideras, even in old age and with grey hairs. Do not abandon me, O God, while I announce your arm to every future generation: your power19y tu justicia, oh Dios, que toca los cielos. En tan grandes cosas como hiciste, Dios ¿quién es como Tú? and your justice, O God, even to the highest great things that you have done. O God, who is like you?20Con muchas y acerbas tribulaciones me probaste, mas volviste a darme la vida, y de nuevo me sacarás de los abismos de la tierra. How great is the tribulation that you have revealed to me: very great and evil. And so, turning back, you have brought me to life, and you have led me back again from the abyss of the earth.21Multiplicarás tu magnificencia y continuarás consolándome. You have multiplied your magnificence. And so, turning back to me, you have consoled me.22Y yo, Dios mío, alabaré con salmos tu fidelidad; te cantaré con la cítara, oh Santo de Israel. Therefore, I will confess your truth to you, with the instruments of the Psalter. O God, I will sing psalms to you with stringed instruments, O Holy One of Israel.23Y cuando te cante, de gozo temblarán mis labios, y mi alma que Tú redimiste. My lips will exult, when I sing to you, and also my soul, which you have redeemed.24Mi lengua hablará todo el día de tu justicia, porque han quedado confundidos y avergonzados cuantos buscaban mi mal. And even my tongue will meditate on your justice all day long, when those who seek evils for me have been confounded and set in awe.
