Salmos 85

¹Oración de David. Inclina, Yahvé, tu oído y escúchame, porque soy desvalido y necesitado. A Prayer of David himself. Incline your ear, O Lord, and hear me. For I am needy and poor.²Preserva mi vida porque soy santo; salva a tu siervo que espera en Ti. Preserve my soul, for I am holy. My God, bring salvation to your servant who hopes in you.³Tú eres mi Dios, ten misericordia de mí, pues a Ti clamo todo el día. O Lord, be merciful to me, for I have cried out to you all day long.⁴Alegra el alma de tu siervo, pues a Ti, Señor, elevo mi espíritu. Give joy to the soul of your servant, for I have lifted up my soul to you, Lord.⁵Porque Tú eres un Señor bueno y pronto a perdonar, lleno de gracia para todos los que te invocan. For you are sweet and mild, Lord, and plentiful in mercy to all who call upon you.⁶Escucha, Yahvé, mi ruego; presta atención a la voz de mi súplica. Pay attention, Lord, to my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplication.⁷En el día de mi aflicción clamo a Ti porque Tú me oirás. In the day of my tribulation, I cried out to you, because you heeded me.⁸No hay Señor semejante a Ti entre los dioses; ni obras como las obras tuyas. There is no one like you among the gods, O Lord, and there is no one like you in your works.⁹Todas las naciones que Tú hiciste vendrán a postrarse delante de Ti, Señor, y proclamarán tu Nombre. All the nations, which you have made, will draw near and adore in your presence, O Lord. And they will glorify your name.¹⁰Porque Tú eres grande y obras maravillas. Tú solo eres Dios For you are great, and you perform wonders. You alone are God.¹¹Enséñame, Yahvé, tu camino para que ande en tu verdad; que mi corazón se alegre en temer tu Nombre. Lead me, O Lord, in your way, and I will walk in your truth. May my heart rejoice, so that it will fear your name.¹²Te alabaré, Señor Dios mío, con todo mi corazón, y glorificaré tu Nombre por toda la eternidad. I will confess to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart. And I will glorify your name in eternity.¹³Pues grande ha sido tu misericordia para conmigo; y libraste mi alma de lo más hondo del abismo. For your mercy toward me is great, and you have rescued my soul from the lower part of Hell.¹⁴Oh Dios, los soberbios se levantan contra mí, y la turba de los prepotentes amenaza mi vida; ¡No te han tenido en cuenta! O God, the iniquitous have risen up against me, and the synagogue of the powerful have sought my soul, and they have not placed you in their sight.¹⁵Mas Tú, Señor, Dios de bondad y misericordia, tardo en airarte y clementísimo y leal, And you, Lord God, are compassionate and merciful, being patient and full of mercy and truthful.¹⁶vuelve hacia mí tu rostro y ten piedad de mí; pon tu fuerza en tu siervo, y salva al hijo de tu esclava. Look down upon me and have mercy on me. Grant your authority to your servant, and bring salvation to the son of your handmaid.¹⁷Dame una señal de tu favor, para que los que me odian vean, confundidos, que eres Tú, Yahvé, quien me asiste y me consuela. Make me a sign of what is good, so that those who hate me, may look and be confounded. For you, O Lord, have helped me and consoled me.
