Salmos 87

1Cántico. Salmo de los hijos de Coré. Al maestro de coro. Sobre el tono de “Mahalat”, para cantar. Maskil. De Hemán el ezrahita. A Canticle Psalm to the sons of Korah. Unto the end. For Mahalath, to answer the understanding of Heman the Ezrahite.2Yahvé, Dios de mi salud, día y noche clamo en tu presencia. O Lord, God of my salvation: I have cried out, day and night, in your presence.3Llegue hasta Ti mi oración, inclina tu oído a mi clamor. Let my prayer enter in your sight. Incline your ear to my petition.4Pues mi alma está saciada de males, y mi vida al borde del sepulcro. For my soul has been filled with evils, and my life has drawn near to Hell.5Me cuentan entre los que bajan a la tumba; he venido a ser como un hombre inválido, I am considered to be among those who will descend into the pit. I have become like a man without assistance,6abandonado a su propia suerte como los muertos; como las víctimas que yacen en el sepulcro, de quienes ya no te acuerdas, y que no son más objeto de tu cuidado. idle among the dead. I am like the wounded sleeping in sepulchers, whom you no longer remember, and who have been repelled by your hand.7Me has puesto en una profunda fosa, en tinieblas, en el abismo. They have lain me in the lower pit: in dark places and in the shadow of death.8Sobre mí pesa tu indignación, y con todas tus olas me estás ahogando. Your fury has been confirmed over me. And you have brought all your waves upon me.9Has alejado de mí a los amigos, me has hecho objeto de abominación para ellos; me encuentro encerrado, sin poder salir. You have sent my acquaintances far from me. They have set me as an abomination to themselves. I was handed over, yet I did not depart.10Mis ojos flaquean de miseria; clamo a Ti, Yahvé, todo el día, hacia Ti extiendo mis manos. My eyes languished before destitution. All day long, I cried out to you, O Lord. I stretched out my hands to you.11¿Es que para los muertos haces tus maravillas, o se levantan los difuntos para alabarte? Will you perform wonders for the dead? Or will physicians raise to life, and so confess to you?12¿Acaso en las sepulturas se proclama tu bondad, en la tierra de los muertos tu fidelidad? Could anyone declare your mercy in the sepulcher, or your truth from within perdition?13¿Se harán tus prodigios manifiestos en las tinieblas, y tu gracia en la tierra del olvido? Will your wonders be known in the darkness, or your justice in the land of oblivion?14Yo en cambio, Yahvé, te expreso mi clamor, y desde temprano te llega mi ruego. And I have cried out to you, O Lord, and in early morning, my prayer will come before you.15¿Por qué, Yahvé, rechazas mi alma y escondes de mí tu faz? Lord, why do you reject my prayer? Why do you turn your face away from me?16Soy miserable, y vivo muriendo desde niño; soporté tus terrores y ya no puedo más; I am poor, and I have been amid hardships from my youth. And, though I have been exalted, I am humbled and disturbed.17tus iras pasaron sobre mí, y tus espantos me han anonadado. Your wrath has crossed into me, and your terrors have disturbed me.18Me rodean como agua todo el día, me cercan todos juntos. They have surrounded me like water, all day long. They have surrounded me, all at once.19Has alejado de mí al amigo y al compañero, y mis familiares son las tinieblas. Friend and neighbor, and my acquaintances, you have sent far away from me, away from misery.
