Salmos 93

1¡Oh Dios vengador, Yahvé, Dios de las venganzas, muéstrate! A Psalm of David himself. The Fourth Sabbath. The Lord is the God of retribution. The God of retribution acts in order to deliver.2Levántate, glorioso, oh Juez del mundo; da a los soberbios lo que merecen. Lift yourself up, for you judge the earth. Repay the arrogant with retribution.3¿Hasta cuándo los malvados, Yahvé? ¿Hasta cuándo los malvados triunfarán, How long will sinners, O Lord, how long will sinners glory?4proferirán necedades con lenguaje arrogante, se jactarán todos de sus obras inicuas? How long will they utter and speak iniquity? How long will all who work injustice speak out?5Oprimen a tu pueblo, Yahvé, y devastan tu heredad; They have humiliated your people, O Lord, and they have harassed your inheritance.6asesinan a la viuda y al extranjero, y matan a los huérfanos. They have executed the widow and the new arrival, and they have slaughtered the orphan.7Y dicen: “El Señor no lo ve, el Dios de Jacob nada sabe.” And they have said, “The Lord will not see, nor will the God of Jacob understand.”8Entendedlo, oh necios entre todos; insensatos, sabedlo al fin: Understand, you senseless ones among the people. And be wise at last, you foolish ones.9Aquel que plantó el oído ¿no oirá Él mismo? Y el que formó el ojo ¿no verá? He who formed the ear, will he not hear? And he who forged the eye, does he not look closely?10El que castiga a las naciones ¿no ha de pedir cuentas? Aquel que enseña al hombre ¿(no tendrá) conocimiento? He who chastises nations, he who teaches man knowledge, will he not rebuke?11Yahvé conoce los pensamientos de los hombres: ¡son una cosa vana! The Lord knows the thoughts of men: that these are in vain.12Dichoso el hombre a quien Tú educas, oh Yah, el que Tú instruyes mediante tu Ley, Blessed is the man whom you will instruct, O Lord. And you will teach him from your law.13para darle tranquilidad en los días aciagos, hasta que se cave la fosa para el inicuo. So may you soothe him from the evil days, until a pit may be dug for sinners.14Puesto que Yahvé no desechará a su pueblo, ni desamparará su heredad, For the Lord will not drive away his people, and he will not abandon his inheritance,15sino que volverá a imperar la justicia, y la seguirán todos los rectos de corazón. even until the time when justice is being converted into judgment, and when those who are close to justice are all those who are upright of heart.16¿Quién se levantará en mi favor contra los malhechores? ¿Quién se juntará conmigo para oponerse a los malvados? Who will rise up with me against the malignant? Or who will stand with me against the workers of iniquity?17Si Yahvé no estuviese para ayudarme, ya el silencio sería mi morada. Except that the Lord assisted me, my soul almost would have dwelt in Hell.18Cuando pienso: “Mi pie va a resbalar”, tu misericordia, Yahvé, me sostiene. If ever I said, “My foot is slipping,” then your mercy, O Lord, assisted me.19Cuando las ansiedades se multiplican en mi corazón, tus consuelos deleitan mi alma. According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, your consolations have given joy to my soul.20¿Podrá tener comunidad contigo la sede de la iniquidad, que forja tiranía bajo apariencia legal? Does the seat of iniquity adhere to you, you who contrive hardship within a commandment?21Asalten ellos el alma del justo, y condenen la sangre inocente; They will hunt down the soul of the just, and they will condemn innocent blood.22mas Yahvé será para mí una fortaleza, y el Dios mío la roca de mi refugio. And the Lord has been made into a refuge for me, and my God into the assistance of my hope.23Él hará que su perversidad caiga sobre ellos mismos; y con su propia malicia los destruirá, los exterminará Yahvé, nuestro Dios. And he will repay them their iniquity, and he will destroy them in their malice. The Lord our God will utterly destroy them.
