Apocalipsis 21

1Y vi un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva, porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra habían pasado, y el mar no existía más. I saw the new heaven and the new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and the sea is no more.2Y vi la ciudad, la santa, la Jerusalén nueva, descender del cielo de parte de Dios, ataviada como una novia que se engalana para su esposo. And I, John, saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.3Y oí una gran voz desde el trono, que decía: “He aquí la morada de Dios entre los hombres. Él habitará con ellos, y ellos serán sus pueblos, y Dios mismo estará con ellos, And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: “Behold the tabernacle of God with men. And he will dwell with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be their God with them.4y les enjugará toda lágrima de sus ojos; y la muerte no existirá más; no habrá más lamentación, ni dolor, porque las cosas primeras pasaron”. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. And death shall be no more. And neither mourning, nor crying out, nor grief shall be anymore. For the first things have passed away.”5Y Aquel que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: “He aquí, Yo hago todo nuevo”. Dijo también: “Escribe, que estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas”. And the One who was sitting upon the throne, said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And he said to me, “Write, for these words are entirely faithful and true.”6Y díjome: “Se han cumplido. Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el principio y el fin. Al que tenga sed Yo le daré gratuitamente de la fuente del agua de la vida. And he said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To those who thirst, I will give freely from the fountain of the water of life.7El vencedor tendrá esta herencia, y Yo seré su Dios, y él será hijo mío. Whoever prevails shall possess these things. And I will be his God, and he shall be my son.8Mas los tímidos e incrédulos y abominables y homicidas y fornicarios y hechiceros e idólatras, y todos los mentirosos, tendrán su parte en el lago encendido con fuego y azufre. Esta es la segunda muerte”. But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and drug users, and idolaters, and all liars, these shall be a part of the pool burning with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”9Y vino uno de los siete ángeles que tenían las siete copas llenas de las siete plagas postreras, y habló conmigo diciendo: “Ven aquí, te mostraré la novia, la esposa del Cordero”. And one of the seven Angels, those holding the bowls filled with the seven last afflictions, approached and spoke with me, saying: “Come, and I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”10Y me llevó en espíritu a un monte grande y alto, y me mostró la ciudad santa Jerusalén, que bajaba del cielo, desde Dios, And he took me up in spirit to a great and high mountain. And he showed me the Holy City Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,11teniendo la gloria de Dios; su luminar era semejante a una piedra preciosísima, cual piedra de jaspe cristalina. having the glory of God. And its light was like that of a precious stone, even like that of the jasper stone or like crystal.12Tenía muro grande y alto, y doce puertas, y a las puertas doce ángeles, y nombres escritos en ellas, que son los de las doce tribus de los hijos de Israel: And it had a wall, great and high, having twelve gates. And at the gates were twelve Angels. And names were written upon them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.13tres puertas al oriente, tres puertas al septentrión, tres puertas al mediodía, tres puertas al occidente. On the East were three gates, and on the North were three gates, and on the South were three gates, and on the West were three gates.14El muro de la ciudad tenía doce fundamentos, y sobre ellos doce nombres de los doce apóstoles del Cordero. And the wall of the City had twelve foundations. And upon them were the twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.15Y el que hablaba conmigo tenía como medida una vara de oro, para medir la ciudad, sus puertas y su muro. And he who was speaking with me was holding a golden measuring reed, in order to measure the City, and its gates and wall.16La ciudad se asienta en forma cuadrada, siendo su longitud igual a su anchura. Y midió la ciudad con la vara: doce mil estadios; la longitud y la anchura y la altura de ella son iguales. And the city is laid out as a square, and so its length is as great as the width. And he measured the city with the golden reed for twelve thousand stadia, and its length and height and breadth were equal.17Midió también su muro: ciento cuarenta y cuatro codos, medida de hombre, que es (también medida) de ángel. And he measured its wall as one hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, which is of an Angel.18El material de su muro es jaspe, y la ciudad es oro puro, semejante al cristal puro. And the structure of its wall was of jasper stone. Yet truly, the city itself was of pure gold, similar to pure glass.19Los fundamentos del muro de la ciudad están adornados de toda suerte de piedras preciosas. El primer fundamento es jaspe; el segundo, zafiro; el tercero, calcedonia; el cuarto, esmeralda; And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was of jasper, the second was of sapphire, the third was of chalcedony, the fourth was of emerald,20el quinto, sardónice; el sexto, cornalina; el séptimo, crisólito; el octavo, berilo; el nono, topacio; el décimo, crisopraso; el undécimo, jacinto; el duodécimo, amatista. the fifth was of sardonyx, the sixth was of sardius, the seventh was of chrysolite, the eighth was of beryl, the ninth was of topaz, the tenth was of chrysoprasus, the eleventh was of jacinth, the twelfth was of amethyst.21Y las doce puertas son doce perlas; cada una de las puertas es de una sola perla, y la plaza de la ciudad de oro puro, transparente como cristal. And the twelve gates are twelve pearls, one for each, so that each gate was made from a single pearl. And the main street of the city was of pure gold, similar to transparent glass.22No vi en ella templo, porque su templo es el Señor Dios Todopoderoso, así como el Cordero. And I saw no temple in it. For the Lord God Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb.23La ciudad no tiene necesidad de sol ni de luna que la alumbren, pues la gloria de Dios le dio su luz, y su lumbrera es el Cordero. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine in it. For the glory of God has illuminated it, and the Lamb is its lamp.24Las naciones andarán a la luz de ella y los reyes de la tierra llevan a ella sus glorias. And the nations shall walk by its light. And the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor into it.25Sus puertas nunca se cerrarán de día —ya que noche allí no habrá— And its gates shall not be closed throughout the day, for there shall be no night in that place.26y llevarán a ella las glorias y la honra de las naciones. And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.27Y no entrará en ella cosa vil, ni quien obra abominación y mentira, sino solamente los que están escritos en el libro de vida del Cordero. There shall not enter into it anything defiled, nor anything causing an abomination, nor anything false, but only those who have been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb.
