1Al ángel de la Iglesia de Éfeso escríbele: “Esto dice el que tiene las siete estrellas en su mano derecha, el que anda en medio de los siete candelabros de oro: “And to the Angel of the Church of Ephesus write: Thus says the One who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:2Conozco tus obras, tus trabajos y tu paciencia, y que no puedes sufrir a los malos, y que has probado a los que se dicen apóstoles y no lo son, y los has hallado mentirosos. I know your works, and your hardship and patient endurance, and that you cannot stand those who are evil. And so, you have tested those who declare themselves to be Apostles and are not, and you have found them to be liars.3Y tienes paciencia, y padeciste por mi nombre, y no has desfallecido. And you have patient endurance for the sake of my name, and you have not fallen away.4Pero tengo contra ti que has dejado tu amor del principio. But I have this against you: that you have relinquished your first charity.5Recuerda, pues, de donde has caído, y arrepiéntete, y vuelve a las primeras obras; si no, vengo a ti, y quitaré tu candelabro de su lugar, a menos que te arrepientas. And so, call to mind the place from which you have fallen, and do penance, and do the first works. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.6Esto empero tienes: que aborreces las obras de los Nicolaítas, que yo también aborrezco. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.7Quien tiene oído escuche lo que el Espíritu dice a las Iglesias: Al vencedor le daré a comer del árbol de la vida que está en el Paraíso de Dios”. Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches. To him who prevails, I will give to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the Paradise of my God.8Al ángel de la Iglesia de Esmirna escríbele: “Estas cosas dice el primero y el último, el que estuvo muerto y volvió a la vida: And to the Angel of the Church of Smyrna write: Thus says the First and the Last, he who was dead and now lives:9Conozco tu tribulación y tu pobreza —pero tú eres rico— y la maledicencia de parte de los que se llaman judíos y no son más que la sinagoga de Satanás. I know your tribulation and your poverty, but you are rich, and that you are blasphemed by those who declare themselves to be Jews and are not, but who are a synagogue of Satan.10No temas lo que vas a padecer. He aquí que el diablo va a meter a algunos de vosotros en la cárcel; es para que seáis probados, y tendréis una tribulación de diez días. Sé fiel hasta la muerte, y Yo te daré la corona de la vida. You should fear nothing amid those things which you will suffer. Behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, so that you may be tested. And you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful even unto death, and I will give to you the crown of life.11Quien tiene oído escuche lo que el Espíritu dice a las Iglesias: El vencedor no será alcanzado por la segunda muerte”. Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches. Whoever will prevail, he shall not be harmed by the second death.12Al ángel de la Iglesia de Pérgamo escríbele: “El que tiene la espada aguda de dos filos dice esto: And to the Angel of the Church of Pergamus write: Thus says he who holds the sharp two-edged spear:13Yo sé dónde moras: allí donde está el trono de Satanás: y con todo retienes mi nombre, y no has negado mi fe, ni aun en los días en que Antipas, el testigo mío fiel, fue muerto entre vosotros donde habita Satanás. I know where you dwell, where the seat of Satan is, and that you hold to my name and have not denied my faith, even in those days when Antipas was my faithful witness, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.14Pero tengo contra ti algunas pocas cosas, por cuanto tienes allí a quienes han abrazado la doctrina de Balaam, el que enseñaba a Balac a dar escándalo a los hijos de Israel, para que comiesen de los sacrificios de los ídolos y cometiesen fornicación. But I have a few things against you. For you have, in that place, those who hold to the doctrine of Balaam, who instructed Balak to cast a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat and to commit fornication.15Así tienes también a quienes de manera semejante retienen la doctrina de los Nicolaítas. And you also have those who hold to the doctrine of the Nicolaitans.16Arrepiéntete, pues; que si no, vengo a ti presto, y pelearé contra ellos con la espada de mi boca. So do penance to the same extent. If you do less, I will come to you quickly and I will fight against these ones with the sword of my mouth.17Quien tiene oído escuche lo que el Espíritu dice a las Iglesias: Al vencedor le daré del maná oculto; y le daré una piedrecita blanca, y en la piedrecita escrito un nombre nuevo que nadie sabe sino aquel que la recibe”. Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches. To him who prevails, I will give the hidden manna. And I will give to him a white emblem, and on the emblem, a new name has been written, which no one knows, except the one who receives it.18Al ángel de la Iglesia de Tiatira escríbele: “Esto dice el Hijo de Dios, el que tiene ojos como llamas de fuego, y cuyos pies son semejantes a bronce bruñido: And to the Angel of the Church of Thyatira write: Thus says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet are like shining brass.19Conozco tus obras, tu amor, tu fe, tu beneficencia y tu paciencia, y que tus obras postreras son más que las primeras. I know your works, and your faith and charity, and your ministry and patient endurance, and that your more recent works are greater than the earlier ones.20Pero tengo contra ti que toleras a esa mujer Jezabel, que dice ser profetisa y que enseña a mis siervos y los seduce para que cometan fornicación y coman lo sacrificado a los ídolos. But I have a few things against you. For you permit the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants, to commit fornication and to eat the food of idolatry.21Le he dado tiempo para que se arrepienta, mas no quiere arrepentirse de su fornicación. And I gave her a time, so that she might do penance, but she is not willing to repent from her fornication.22He aquí que a ella la arrojo en cama, y a los que adulteren con ella, (los arrojo) en grande tribulación, si no se arrepienten de las obras de ella. Behold, I will cast her onto a bed, and those who commit adultery with her shall be in a very great tribulation, unless they repent from their works.23Castigaré a sus hijos con la muerte, y conocerán todas las Iglesias que Yo soy el que escudriño entrañas y corazones; y retribuiré a cada uno de vosotros conforme a vuestras obras. And I will put her sons to death, and all the Churches shall know that I am the one who examines temperaments and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. But I say to you,24A vosotros, los demás que estáis en Tiatira, que no seguís esa doctrina y que no habéis conocido las profundidades, como dicen ellos, de Satanás: no echaré sobre vosotros otra carga. and to the others who are at Thyatira: Whoever does not hold to this doctrine, and who has not ‘known the depths of Satan,’ as they say, I will not set any other weight upon you.25Solamente, guardad bien lo que tenéis, hasta que Yo venga. Even so, that which you have, hold on to it until I return.26Y al que venciere y guardare hasta el fin mis obras, le daré poder sobre las naciones, And whoever will prevail and will observe my works even unto the end, I will give to him authority over the nations.27—y las regirá con vara de hierro, y serán desmenuzados como vasos de alfarero— And he shall rule them with an iron rod, and they shall be broken like the earthenware of a potter.28como Yo lo recibí de mi Padre; y le daré la estrella matutina. The same I also have received from my Father. And I will give to him the morning star.29Quien tiene oído, escuche, lo que el Espíritu dice a las Iglesias”. Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches.”
