Romanos 12
1Os ruego, hermanos, por las misericordias de Dios, que presentéis vuestros cuerpos como hostia viva, santa, agradable a Dios (en un) culto espiritual vuestro. And so, I beg you, brothers, by the mercy of God, that you offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, with the subservience of your mind.2Y no os acomodéis a este siglo, antes transformaos, por la renovación de vuestra mente, para que experimentéis cuál sea la voluntad de Dios, que es buena y agradable y perfecta. And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect.3Porque, en virtud de la gracia que me fue dada, digo a cada uno de entre vosotros, que no sienta de sí más altamente de lo que debe sentir, sino que rectamente sienta según la medida de la fe que Dios a cada cual ha dado. For I say, through the grace that has been given to me, to all who are among you: Taste no more than it is necessary to taste, but taste unto sobriety and just as God has distributed a share of the faith to each one.4Pues así como tenemos muchos miembros en un solo cuerpo, y no todos los miembros tienen la misma función, For just as, within one body, we have many parts, though all the parts do not have the same role,5del mismo modo los que somos muchos, formamos un solo cuerpo en Cristo, pero en cuanto a cada uno somos recíprocamente miembros. so also we, being many, are one body in Christ, and each one is a part, the one of the other.6Y tenemos dones diferentes conforme a la gracia que nos fue dada, ya de profecía (para hablar) según la regla de la fe; And we each have different gifts, according to the grace that has been given to us: whether prophecy, in agreement with the reasonableness of faith;7ya de ministerio, para servir; ya de enseñar, para la enseñanza; or ministry, in ministering; or he who teaches, in doctrine;8ya de exhortar, para la exhortación. El que da, (hágalo) con liberalidad; el que preside, con solicitud; el que usa de misericordia, con alegría. he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, in simplicity; he who governs, in solicitude; he who shows mercy, in cheerfulness.9El amor sea sin hipocresía. Aborreced lo que es malo, apegaos a lo que es bueno. Let love be without falseness: hating evil, clinging to what is good,10En el amor a los hermanos sed afectuosos unos con otros; en cuanto al honor, daos preferencia mutuamente. loving one another with fraternal charity, surpassing one another in honor:11En la solicitud, no seáis perezosos; en el espíritu sed fervientes; para el Señor sed servidores; in solicitude, not lazy; in spirit, fervent; serving the Lord;12alegres en la esperanza, pacientes en la tribulación, perseverantes en la oración; in hope, rejoicing; in tribulation, enduring; in prayer, ever-willing;13partícipes en las necesidades de los santos; solícitos en la hospitalidad. in the difficulties of the saints, sharing; in hospitality, attentive.14Bendecid a los que os persiguen; bendecid, y no maldigáis. Bless those who are persecuting you: bless, and do not curse.15Gozaos con los que se gozan; llorad con los que lloran. Rejoice with those who are rejoicing. Weep with those who are weeping.16Tened el mismo sentir, unos con otros. No fomentéis pensamientos altivos, sino acomodaos a lo humilde. No seáis sabios a vuestros ojos. Be of the same mind toward one another: not savoring what is exalted, but consenting in humility. Do not choose to seem wise to yourself.17No devolváis a nadie mal por mal; procurad hacer lo bueno ante todos los hombres. Render to no one harm for harm. Provide good things, not only in the sight of God, but also in the sight of all men.18Si es posible, en cuanto de vosotros depende, vivid en paz con todos los hombres. If it is possible, in so far as you are able, be at peace with all men.19No os venguéis por vuestra cuenta, amados míos, sino dad lugar a la ira (de Dios), puesto que escrito está: “Mía es la venganza; Yo haré justicia, dice el Señor”. Do not defend yourselves, dearest ones. Instead, step aside from wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is mine. I shall give retribution, says the Lord.”20Antes por el contrario, “si tu enemigo tiene hambre, dale de comer; si tiene sed, dale de beber; pues esto haciendo amontonarás ascuas de fuego sobre su cabeza”. So if an enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in doing so, you will heap burning coals upon his head.21No te dejes vencer por el mal, sino domina al mal con el bien. Do not allow evil to prevail, instead prevail over evil by means of goodness.
