Romanos 1
1Pablo, siervo de Cristo Jesús, llamado a ser apóstol, separado para el Evangelio de Dios Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called as an Apostle, separated for the Gospel of God,2—que Él había prometido antes por sus profetas en las Escrituras santas— which he had promised beforehand, through his Prophets, in the Holy Scriptures,3(Evangelio que trata) del Hijo suyo, del nacido de la semilla de David según la carne, about his Son, who was made for him from the offspring of David according to the flesh,4de Jesucristo Señor nuestro, destinado (para ser manifestado) Hijo de Dios en poder, conforme al Espíritu de santidad, desde la resurrección de los muertos, the Son of God, who was predestined in virtue according to the Spirit of sanctification from the resurrection of the dead, our Lord Jesus Christ,5por Quien hemos recibido gracia y apostolado para obediencia fiel, por razón de su Nombre, entre todos los gentiles, through whom we have received grace and Apostleship, for the sake of his name, for the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles,6de los cuales sois también vosotros, llamados de Jesucristo. from whom you also have been called by Jesus Christ:7A todos los que os halláis en Roma, amados de Dios, llamados santos: gracia a vosotros y paz, de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. To all who are at Rome, the beloved of God, called as saints. Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.8Ante todo doy gracias a mi Dios, mediante Jesucristo, por todos vosotros, porque vuestra fe es celebrada en todo el mundo. Certainly, I give thanks to my God, through Jesus Christ, first for all of you, because your faith is being announced throughout the entire world.9Pues testigo me es Dios, a quien sirvo en mi espíritu en el Evangelio de su Hijo, de que sin cesar os recuerdo, For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit by the Gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I have kept a remembrance of you10rogando siempre en mis oraciones, que de cualquier modo encuentre al fin, por la voluntad de Dios, allanado el camino para ir a vosotros. always in my prayers, pleading that in some way, at some time, I may have a prosperous journey, within the will of God, to come to you.11Porque anhelo veros, a fin de comunicaros algún don espiritual, para que seáis confirmados, For I long to see you, so that I may impart to you a certain spiritual grace to strengthen you,12esto es, para que yo, entre vosotros, sea junto con vosotros consolado, por la mutua comunicación de la fe, vuestra y mía. specifically, to be consoled together with you through that which is mutual: your faith and mine.13Pues no quiero ignoréis, hermanos, que muchas veces me he propuesto ir a vosotros —pero he sido impedido hasta el presente— para que tenga algún fruto también entre vosotros, así como entre los demás gentiles. But I want you to know, brothers, that I have often intended to come to you, (though I have been hindered even to the present time) so that I might obtain some fruit among you also, just as also among the other Gentiles.14A griegos y a bárbaros, a sabios y a ignorantes, soy deudor. To the Greeks and to the uncivilized, to the wise and to the foolish, I am in debt.15Así, pues, cuanto de mí depende, pronto estoy a predicar el Evangelio también a vosotros los que os halláis en Roma. So within me there is a prompting to evangelize to you also who are at Rome.16Pues no me avergüenzo del Evangelio; porque es fuerza de Dios para salvación de todo el que cree, del judío primeramente, y también del griego. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel. For it is the power of God unto salvation for all believers, the Jew first, and the Greek.17Porque en él se revela la justicia que es de Dios, mediante fe para fe, según está escrito: “El justo vivirá por la fe”. For the justice of God is revealed within it, by faith unto faith, just as it was written: “For the just one lives by faith.”18Pues la ira de Dios se manifiesta desde el cielo contra toda impiedad e injusticia de los hombres, que injustamente cohíben la verdad; For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven over every impiety and injustice among those men who fend off the truth of God with injustice.19puesto que lo que es dable conocer de Dios está manifiesto en ellos, ya que Dios se lo manifestó. For what is known about God is manifest in them. For God has manifested it to them.20Porque lo invisible de Él, su eterno poder y su divinidad, se hacen notorios desde la creación del mundo, siendo percibidos por sus obras, de manera que no tienen excusa; For unseen things about him have been made conspicuous, since the creation of the world, being understood by the things that were made; likewise his everlasting virtue and divinity, so much so that they have no excuse.21por cuanto conocieron a Dios y no lo glorificaron como a Dios, ni le dieron gracias, sino que se envanecieron en sus razonamientos, y su insensato corazón fue oscurecido. For although they had known God, they did not glorify God, nor give thanks. Instead, they became weakened in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was obscured.22Diciendo ser sabios, se tornaron necios, For, while proclaiming themselves to be wise, they became foolish.23y trocaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible en imágenes que representan al hombre corruptible, aves, cuadrúpedos y reptiles. And they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of flying things, and of four-legged beasts, and of serpents.24Por lo cual los entregó Dios a la inmundicia en las concupiscencias de su corazón, de modo que entre ellos afrentasen sus propios cuerpos. For this reason, God handed them over to the desires of their own heart for impurity, so that they afflicted their own bodies with indignities among themselves.25Ellos trocaron la verdad de Dios por la mentira, y adoraron y dieron culto a la creatura antes que al Creador, el cual es bendito por los siglos. Amén. And they exchanged the truth of God for a lie. And they worshipped and served the creature, rather than the Creator, who is blessed for all eternity. Amen.26Por esto los entregó Dios a pasiones vergonzosas, pues hasta sus mujeres cambiaron el uso natural por el que es contra naturaleza. Because of this, God handed them over to shameful passions. For example, their females have exchanged the natural use of the body for a use which is against nature.27E igualmente los varones, dejando el uso natural de la mujer, se abrazaron en mutua concupiscencia, cometiendo cosas ignominiosas varones con varones, y recibiendo en sí mismos la paga merecida de sus extravíos. And similarly, the males also, abandoning the natural use of females, have burned in their desires for one another: males doing with males what is disgraceful, and receiving within themselves the recompense that necessarily results from their error.28Y como no estimaron el conocimiento de Dios, los entregó Dios a una mente depravada para hacer lo indebido, And since they did not prove to have God by knowledge, God handed them over to a morally depraved way of thinking, so that they might do those things which are not fitting:29henchidos de toda injusticia, malicia, codicia, maldad, llenos de envidia, homicidio, riña, dolos, malignidad; murmuradores, having been completely filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness; full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, spite, gossiping;30calumniadores, aborrecedores de Dios, indolentes, soberbios, fanfarrones, inventores de maldades, desobedientes a sus padres; slanderous, hateful toward God, abusive, arrogant, self-exalting, devisers of evil, disobedient to parents,31insensatos, desleales, hombres sin amor y sin misericordia. foolish, disorderly; without affection, without fidelity, without mercy.32Y si bien conocen que según lo establecido por Dios los que practican tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no solo las hacen, sino que también se complacen en los que las practican. And these, though they had known the justice of God, did not understand that those who act in such a manner are deserving of death, and not only those who do these things, but also those who consent to what is done.
