Romanos 5
1Justificados, pues, por la fe, tenemos paz con Dios, por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, Therefore, having been justified by faith, let us be at peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ.2por quien, en virtud de la fe, hemos obtenido asimismo el acceso a esta gracia en la cual estamos firmes, y nos gloriamos en la esperanza de la gloria de Dios. For through him we also have access by faith to this grace, in which we stand firm, and to glory, in the hope of the glory of the sons of God.3Y no solamente esto, sino que nos gloriamos también en las tribulaciones, sabiendo que la tribulación obra paciencia; And not only that, but we also find glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation exercises patience,4la paciencia, prueba; la prueba, esperanza; and patience leads to proving, yet truly proving leads to hope,5y la esperanza no engaña, porque el amor de Dios ha sido derramado en nuestros corazones mediante el Espíritu Santo que nos ha sido dado. but hope is not unfounded, because the love of God is poured forth in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.6Porque cuando todavía éramos débiles, Cristo, al tiempo debido, murió por los impíos. Yet why did Christ, while we were still infirm, at the proper time, suffer death for the impious?7A la verdad, apenas hay quien entregue su vida por un justo; alguno tal vez se animaría a morir por un bueno. Now someone might barely be willing to die for the sake of justice, for example, perhaps someone might dare to die for the sake of a good man.8Mas Dios da la evidencia del amor con que nos ama, por cuanto, siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros. But God demonstrates his love for us in that, while we were yet sinners, at the proper time,9Mucho más, pues, siendo ahora justificados por su sangre, seremos por Él salvados de la ira. Christ died for us. Therefore, having been justified now by his blood, all the more so shall we be saved from wrath through him.10Pues, si como enemigos fuimos reconciliados con Dios por la muerte de su Hijo, mucho más después de reconciliados seremos salvados por su vida. For if we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, while we were still enemies, all the more so, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.11Y no solo esto, sino que aun nos gloriamos en Dios, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, por quien ahora hemos logrado la reconciliación. And not only that, but we also glory in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.12Por tanto, como por un solo hombre entró el pecado en el mundo, y por el pecado la muerte, también así la muerte pasó a todos los hombres, por cuanto todos pecaron; Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into this world, and through sin, death; so also death was transferred to all men, to all who have sinned.13porque ya antes de la Ley había pecado en el mundo, mas el pecado no se imputa si no hay Ley. For even before the law, sin was in the world, but sin was not imputed while the law did not exist.14Sin embargo, reinó la muerte desde Adán hasta Moisés, aun sobre los que no habían pecado a la manera de la transgresión de Adán, el cual es figura de Aquel que había de venir. Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses, even in those who have not sinned, in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a figure of him who was to come.15Mas no fue el don como el delito, pues si por el delito del uno, los muchos murieron, mucho más copiosamente se derramó sobre los muchos la gracia de Dios y el don por la gracia de un solo hombre, Jesucristo. But the gift is not entirely like the offense. For though by the offense of one, many died, yet much more so, by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, has the grace and gift of God abounded to many.16Y con el don no sucedió como con aquel uno que pecó, puesto que de uno solo vino el juicio para condenación, mas el don para justificación vino por muchos delitos. And the sin through one is not entirely like the gift. For certainly, the judgment of one was unto condemnation, but the grace toward many offenses is unto justification.17Pues si por el delito de uno solo la muerte reinó por culpa del uno, mucho más los que reciben la sobreabundancia de la gracia y del don de la justicia, reinarán en vida por el uno: Jesucristo. For though, by the one offense, death reigned through one, yet so much more so shall those who receive an abundance of grace, both of the gift and of justice, reign in life through the one Jesus Christ.18De esta manera, como por un solo delito (vino juicio ) sobre todos los hombres para condenación, así también por una sola obra de justicia (viene la gracia) a todos los hombres para justificación de vida. Therefore, just as through the offense of one, all men fell under condemnation, so also through the justice of one, all men fall under justification unto life.19Porque como por la desobediencia de un solo hombre los muchos fueron constituidos pecadores, así también por la obediencia de uno solo los muchos serán constituidos justos. For, just as through the disobedience of one man, many were established as sinners, so also through the obedience of one man, many shall be established as just.20Se subintrodujo, empero, la Ley, de modo que abundase el delito; mas donde abundó el pecado, sobreabundó la gracia; Now the law entered in such a way that offenses would abound. But where offenses were abundant, grace was superabundant.21para que, como reinó el pecado por la muerte, así también reinase la gracia, por la justicia, para eterna vida, por medio de Jesucristo nuestro Señor. So then, just as sin has reigned unto death, so also may grace reign through justice unto eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
