1Oh, Dios de todas las cosas, ten compasión de nosotros; vuelve hacia nosotros tus ojos, y muéstranos la luz de tus misericordias. O God of all, take pity on us, and look with favor on us, and show us the light of your compassion.2Infunde tu temor en las naciones, que no han pensado en buscarte; para que entiendan que no hay otro Dios sino Tú, y pregonen tus maravillas. And send your fear upon the Gentiles, who have not sought you, so that they may acknowledge that there is no God except you, and so that they may declare your great deeds.3Alza tu brazo contra las naciones extrañas, para que experimenten tu poder. Lift up your hand over unbelieving nations, so that they may see your power.4Porque así como a vista de sus ojos demostraste en nosotros tu santidad; así también a nuestra vista mostrarás en ellas tu grandeza; For just as, in their sight, you have been sanctified in us, so also, in our sight, you will be magnified in them.5a fin de que conozcan, como nosotros hemos conocido, que no hay otro Dios fuera de Ti, oh Señor. So may they know you, as we also have known you. For there is no God apart from you, O Lord.6Renueva los prodigios, y haz nuevas maravillas. Renew your signs, and work new wonders.7Glorifica tu mano, y tu brazo derecho. Glorify your hand and your right arm.8Despierta la cólera, y derrama la ira. Stir up your fury, and pour out your wrath.9Destruye al adversario, y abate al enemigo. Take away our adversary, and afflict our enemy.10Acelera el tiempo, no te olvides del fin; para que sean celebradas tus maravillas. Hasten the time, and remember the end, so that they may declare your miracles.11Devorados sean por el fuego de la ira aquellos que escapan; y hallen su perdición los que tanto maltratan a tu pueblo. Let those who escape be devoured by the wrath of fire. And let those who harass your people find perdition.12Quebranta las cabezas de los príncipes enemigos, los cuales dicen: “No hay otro fuera de nosotros.” Crush the head of the leaders of the enemies, for they say: “There is no other beside us.”13Reúne todas las tribus de Jacob; para que conozcan que no hay más Dios que Tú, y publiquen tu grandeza, y sean herencia tuya, como lo fueron desde el principio. Gather together all the tribes of Jacob, so that they may acknowledge that there is no God except you, and so that they may declare your great deeds. And you will inherit them, as from the beginning.14Apiádate de tu pueblo que lleva tu nombre, y de Israel a quien has tratado como a primogénito tuyo. Take pity on your people, over whom your name has been invoked, and on Israel, whom you have treated as your firstborn.15Apiádate de Jerusalén, ciudad que has santificado, ciudad de tu reposo. Take pity on Jerusalem, the city of your sanctification, the city of your rest.16Llena a Sión de tus palabras inefables, y a tu pueblo de tu gloria. Fill Zion with your ineffable words, and fill your people with your glory.17Declárate a favor de aquellos que desde el principio son creaturas tuyas y verifica las predicciones que anunciaron en tu nombre los antiguos profetas. Give testimony to those who have been your creations from the beginning, and lift up the prophecies which the former prophets spoke in your name.18Remunera a los que esperan en Ti, para que se vea la veracidad de tus profetas; y oye las oraciones de tus siervos, Give a reward to those who endure for you, so that your prophets may be found to be faithful. And heed the prayers of your servants,19según la bendición que dio Aarón a tu pueblo, y enderézanos por el sendero de la justicia. Sepan los moradores todos de la tierra, que Tú eres el Dios que dispone los siglos. in accord with the blessing of Aaron over your people. And direct us in the way of justice, and let all who inhabit the earth know that you are God, the Beholder of all ages.20El vientre recibe toda suerte de manjares; pero hay un manjar que es mejor que otro. The belly can devour any food, yet one meal is better than another.21El paladar distingue el plato de caza; así el corazón discreto las palabras falsas. The palate tests the meat of wild animals, and the understanding heart tests false words.22El corazón depravado ocasionará dolores; mas el hombre sabio se le opondrá. A corrupt heart will cause grief, and a man of experience will resist it.23La mujer tomará por marido a cualquier varón; mas entre las doncellas una es mejor que otra. A woman can receive any male, yet one daughter is better than another.24Las gracias de la mujer bañan de alegría el rostro de su marido, y producen en él un afecto superior a todos los deseos del hombre. The beauty of a wife cheers the face of her husband, and rises above his desire, above all the desires of man.25Si su lengua habla palabras saludables, de blandura y de compasión, el marido de esta mujer tendrá una ventaja que no es común entre los hombres. If she offers healing words, then she both comforts and shows mercy; and so her husband is not like other men.26Quien posee una buena esposa, comienza a formar un patrimonio, tiene una ayuda semejante a él, y una columna de apoyo. He who holds to a good wife establishes a possession. She is a helper in agreement with him, and she is a pillar of rest.27Donde no hay cerca, la heredad será saqueada; donde no hay mujer, gime el hombre en la pobreza. Where there is no hedge, a possession will be trampled. And where there is no wife, he will mourn her absence.28¿Quién se fía de aquel que no tiene nido, y que se echa para dormir donde le sorprende la oscuridad de la noche, y es como un ladrón muy listo que salta de una ciudad a otra? Who will trust one who has no nest, and who conceals himself wherever his course may take him, like a well-equipped robber passing from city to city?
