1Tú, empero, enseña lo que es conforme a la sana doctrina: But you are to speak the things that befit sound doctrine.2que los ancianos sean sobrios, graves, prudentes, sanos en la fe, en la caridad, en la paciencia; Old men should be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience.3que las ancianas asimismo sean de porte venerable, no calumniadoras, no esclavas de mucho vino, maestras en el bien, Old women, similarly, should be in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well,4para que enseñen a las jóvenes a ser amantes de sus maridos y de sus hijos, prudentes, so that they may teach prudence to the young women, so that they may love their husbands, love their children,5castas, hacendosas, bondadosas, sumisas a sus maridos, para que no sea blasfemada la Palabra de Dios. be sensible, chaste, restrained, have concern for the household, be kind, be subordinate to their husbands: so that the Word of God may be not blasphemed.6Exhorta igualmente a los jóvenes para que sean prudentes. He gave himself for our sake, so that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse for himself an acceptable people, pursuers of good works.15Esto es lo que has de enseñar. Exhorta y reprende con toda autoridad. Que nadie te menosprecie. Speak and exhort and argue these things with all authority. Let no one despise you.
