Tobías 11
1Regresaron y llegaron en once días a Harán, situada a mitad del camino que va a Nínive. And as they were returning, they came through to Haran, which is in the middle of the journey, opposite Nineveh, on the eleventh day.2Y dijo el ángel: “Hermano Tobías, bien sabes en qué estado has dejado a tu padre. And the Angel said: “Brother Tobias, you know how you left behind your father.3Por eso, si te parece, adelantémonos y vengan siguiendo poco a poco los criados con tu mujer y los animales.” And so, if it pleases you, let us go on ahead, and let the family follow after us with a slower step, together with your bride, and with the animals.”4Le pareció bien caminar así; y Rafael dijo a Tobías: “Toma contigo de la hiel del pez, porque será necesaria.” Tomó Tobías de aquella hiel, y se marcharon. And since it pleased him to go on in this way, Raphael said to Tobias, “Take with you from the gall of the fish, for it will be necessary.” And so, Tobias took from its gall, and he went ahead.5Entretanto Ana iba todos los días a sentarse cerca del camino, en la cima de una colina, desde donde podía mirar muy lejos. But Anna sat beside the way every day, on the top of a hill, from where she would be able to see for a long distance.6Atalayando una vez desde allí a ver si venía su hijo, lo vio de lejos, y reconociendo inmediatamente que el que venía era su hijo, corrió a dar la noticia a su marido, diciendo: “Mira que viene tu hijo.” And while she was watching for his arrival from that place, she looked far off, and soon she realized that her son was approaching. And running, she reported it to her husband, saying: “Behold, your son arrives.”7Entonces dijo Rafael a Tobías: “Cuando entrares en tu casa, adora en seguida al Señor, Dios tuyo; y dándole gracias, acércate a tu padre y bésalo; And Raphael said to Tobias: “As soon as you enter into your house, immediately adore the Lord your God. And, giving thanks to him, approach your father, and kiss him.8y al instante unge sus ojos con esta hiel del pez, que llevas contigo; pues has de saber que luego se abrirán sus ojos, y verá tu padre la luz del cielo y se alegrará al verte.” And immediately anoint his eyes from this gall of the fish, which you carry with you. For you should know that his eyes will soon be opened, and your father will see the light of heaven, and he will rejoice at the sight of you.”9En esto el perro que los había acompañado en el viaje, se adelantó corriendo; y como si viniese a traer una nueva, se alegraba haciendo halagos con su cola. Then the dog, which had been with them in the way, ran ahead, and, arriving like a messenger, he showed his joy by fawning and wagging his tail.10Levantose entonces el padre ciego y empezó a correr, más tropezando con los pies, dio la mano a un criado y salió a recibir a su hijo. And rising up, his blind father began to run, stumbling with his feet. And giving his hand to a servant, he ran on to meet his son.11Lo abrazó y lo besó, haciendo lo mismo la madre, y ambos comenzaron a llorar de gozo. And receiving him, he kissed him, as did his wife, and they both began to weep for joy.12Después de haber adorado a Dios y dado gracias se sentaron. And when they had adored God and had given thanks, they sat down together.13Entonces Tobías, tomando de la hiel del pez, ungió los ojos de su padre. Then Tobias, taking from the gall of the fish, anointed his father’s eyes.14Estuvo este esperando casi media hora, cuando he aquí que empezó a desprenderse de sus ojos la catarata, semejante a una membrana de huevo. And about half an hour passed, and then a white film began to come out of his eyes, like the membrane of an egg.15Tobías la asió y se la sacó de los ojos; y al punto recobró la vista. So, taking hold of it, Tobias pulled it away from his eyes, and immediately he received his sight.16Y daban gloria a Dios, tanto él como su mujer, y todos sus conocidos. And they glorified God: Tobit especially, and his wife, and all those who knew him.17Tobías decía: “Te bendigo, oh Señor Dios de Israel, porque Tú me has castigado, y Tú me has sanado; y he aquí que yo veo ya a mi hijo Tobías.” And Tobit said, “I bless you, O Lord God of Israel, because you have chastised me, and you have saved me, and behold, I see my son Tobias.”18Al cabo de siete días llegó también Sara, mujer de su hijo, con toda la comitiva, en buena salud, y los ganados, los camellos, y el mucho dinero de la mujer, además de la suma cobrada de Gabelo. And then, after seven days, Sarah, the wife of his son, and all the family arrived safely, along with the sheep, and the camels, and much money from his wife, but also with that money which he had received from Gabael.19Y contó (Tobías) a sus padres todos los beneficios recibidos de parte de Dios por medio de aquel varón que le había guiado. And he explained to his parents all the benefits from God, which he had produced all around him, by means of the man who had led him.20Vinieron después Aquior y Nabat, primos hermanos de Tobías, a alegrarse y congratularse con él por todos los favores que Dios le había hecho. And then Ahikar and Nadab arrived, the maternal first cousins of Tobias, rejoicing for Tobias, and congratulating with him for all the good things that God had revealed all around him.21Tuvieron banquetes por espacio de siete días, y se regocijaron todos con gran alegría. And for seven days they feasted, and all were rejoicing with great joy.
