Zacarías 2
1Alcé entonces mis ojos, y miré, y vi a un hombre que tenía en su mano una cuerda de medir. And I lifted up my eyes, and I saw, and behold, a man, and in his hand was a measuring line.2Le pregunté: «¿A dónde vas?» «A medir a Jerusalén», me contestó. «Quiero ver cuánta es su anchura, y cuánta su longitud.» And I said, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, so that I may see how great its width and how great its length may be.”3Y he aquí que el ángel que hablaba conmigo salió fuera, y otro ángel vino a su encuentro. And behold, the angel, who had been speaking with me, departed, and another angel went out to meet him.4y le dijo: «Corre, habla a ese joven y dile: Sin muros será habitada Jerusalén, a causa de la multitud de hombres y animales que habrá en ella.» And he said to him: Hurry, speak to this young man, saying: Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls, because of the multitude of men and beasts of burden in its midst.5Porque Yo mismo, dice Yahvé, la circundaré como muralla de fuego; y seré glorificado en medio de ella. And I will be to it, says the Lord, a wall of fire all around. And in glory, I will be in its midst.6¡Ay, ay! Huid de la tierra del Norte, dice Yahvé; porque por los cuatro vientos del cielo os dispersaré, dice Yahvé. O, O flee from the land of the North, says the Lord, for I have scattered you into the four winds of heaven, says the Lord.7¡Sálvate, oh Sión, tú que habitas en Babilonia! O Zion, flee, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.8Porque así dice Yahvé de los ejércitos, el cual me ha enviado, para gloria suya, a los pueblos que os despojaron: Quien os toca a vosotros, toca a la niña de sus ojos. For thus says the Lord of hosts: After the glory, he has sent me to the Gentiles, which have despoiled you. For he who touches you, touches the pupil of my eye.9He aquí que extiendo sobre ellos mi mano, y serán presa de los que fueron sus esclavos. Y conoceréis que Yahvé de los ejércitos me ha enviado. For behold, I lift up my hand over them, and they will be a prey to those who had served them. And you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me.10¡Canta y alégrate, hija de Sión! pues he aquí que vengo, y moraré en medio de ti, dice Yahvé. Sing praise and rejoice, daughter of Zion. For behold, I approach, and I will dwell in your midst, says the Lord.11En aquel día se allegarán a Yahvé muchas naciones y serán el pueblo mío. Yo habitaré en medio de ti, y conocerás que Yahvé de los ejércitos me ha enviado a ti. And many nations will be joined to the Lord in that day, and they will be my people, and I will dwell in your midst. And you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.12Yahvé ocupará a Judá como porción suya, en la tierra santa, y escogerá de nuevo a Jerusalén. And the Lord will possess his portion, Judah, in the sanctified land, and still he will single out Jerusalem.13Calle toda carne ante Yahvé, porque se levanta ya de su santa morada. Let all flesh be silent before the face of the Lord: for he has arisen from his holy dwelling place.
