Coordinates and the modern identification come from the open atlas at OpenBible.info. For regions, peoples and large features there is no identification: the marked point only places the area on the map, and stands for neither a particular site nor its boundaries.

Can you visit it today?

The Temple platform is a fourteen-hectare enclosure held up by Herodian walls, with the seventh-century Dome of the Rock over the outcrop at its centre. At the south-western corner the stones toppled in AD 70 still lie where they fell, beside the springing of Robinson’s Arch. The identification of Genesis’ Moriah with this hill comes from 2 Chronicles 3:1, not from archaeology.

Where it is
On the eastern flank of Jerusalem’s Old City, overlooking the Kidron valley.
