1 Corintios 15
1Os recuerdo, hermanos, el Evangelio que os prediqué y que aceptasteis, y en el cual perseveráis, And so I make known to you, brothers, the Gospel that I preached to you, which you also received, and on which you stand.2y por el cual os salváis, si lo retenéis en los términos que os lo anuncié, a menos que hayáis creído en vano. By the Gospel, too, you are being saved, if you hold to the understanding that I preached to you, lest you believe in vain.3Porque os trasmití ante todo lo que yo mismo recibí: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, conforme a las Escrituras; For I handed on to you, first of all, what I also received: that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures;4y que fue sepultado; y que fue resucitado al tercer día, conforme a las Escrituras; and that he was buried; and that he rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures;5y que se apareció a Cefas, y después a los Doce. and that he was seen by Cephas, and after that by the eleven.6Luego fue visto por más de quinientos hermanos a la vez, de los cuales la mayor parte viven hasta ahora; mas algunos murieron ya. Next he was seen by more than five hundred brothers at one time, many of whom remain, even to the present time, although some have fallen asleep.7Posteriormente se apareció a Santiago, y luego a todos los, apóstoles. For I am the least of the Apostles. I am not worthy to be called an Apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God.10Mas por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy, y su gracia que me dio no resultó estéril, antes bien he trabajado más copiosamente que todos ellos; bien que no yo, sino la gracia de Dios conmigo. But, by the grace of God, I am what I am. And his grace in me has not been empty, since I have labored more abundantly than all of them. Yet it is not I, but the grace of God within me.11Sea, pues, yo, o sean ellos, así predicamos, y así creísteis. For whether it is I or they: so we preach, and so you have believed.12Ahora bien, si se predica a Cristo como resucitado de entre los muertos ¿cómo es que algunos dicen entre vosotros que no hay resurrección de muertos? Now if Christ is preached, that he rose again from the dead, how is it that some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?13Si es así que no hay resurrección de muertos, tampoco ha resucitado Cristo. For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not risen.14Y si Cristo no ha resucitado, vana es nuestra predicación, vana también vuestra fe. And if Christ has not risen, then our preaching is useless, and your faith is also useless.15Y entonces somos también hallados falsos testigos de Dios, por cuanto atestiguamos contrariamente a Dios que Él resucitó a Cristo, a quien no resucitó, si es así que los muertos no resucitan. Then, too, we would be found to be false witnesses of God, because we would have given testimony against God, saying that he had raised up Christ, when he had not raised him up, if, indeed, the dead do not rise again.16Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco ha resucitado Cristo; For if the dead do not rise again, then neither has Christ risen again.17y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es vuestra fe; aún estáis en vuestros pecados. But if Christ has not risen, then your faith is vain; for you would still be in your sins.18Por consiguiente, también los que ya murieron en Cristo, se perdieron. Then, too, those who have fallen asleep in Christ would have perished.19Si solamente para esta vida tenemos esperanza en Cristo, somos los más miserables de todos los hombres. If we have hope in Christ for this life only, then we are more miserable than all men.20Mas ahora Cristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos, primicia de los que durmieron. But now Christ has risen again from the dead, as the first-fruits of those who sleep.21Puesto que por un hombre vino la muerte, por un hombre viene también la resurrección de los muertos. For certainly, death came through a man. And so, the resurrection of the dead came through a man22Porque como en Adán todos mueren, así también en Cristo todos serán vivificados. And just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be brought to life,23Pero cada uno por su orden: como primicia Cristo; luego los de Cristo en su Parusía; but each one in his proper order: Christ, as the first-fruits, and next, those who are of Christ, who have believed in his advent.24después el fin, cuando Él entregue el reino al Dios y Padre, cuando haya derribado todo principado y toda potestad y todo poder. Afterwards is the end, when he will have handed over the kingdom to God the Father, when he will have emptied all principality, and authority, and power.25Porque es necesario que Él reine “hasta que ponga a todos los enemigos bajo sus pies”. For he has subjected all things under his feet. And although he says,27Porque “todas las cosas las sometió bajo sus pies”. Mas cuando dice que todas las cosas están sometidas, claro es que queda exceptuado Aquel que se las sometió todas a Él. “All things have been subjected to him,” without doubt he does not include the One who has subjected all things to him.28Y cuando le hayan sido sometidas todas las cosas, entonces el mismo Hijo también se someterá al que le sometió todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todo en todo. And when all things will have been subjected to him, then even the Son himself will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to him, so that God may be all in all.29De no ser así ¿qué hacen los que se bautizan por los muertos? Si los muertos de ninguna manera resucitan ¿por qué pues se bautizan por ellos? Otherwise, what will those who are being baptized for the dead do, if the dead do not rise again at all? Why then are they being baptized for them?30¿Y por qué nosotros mismos nos exponemos a peligros a toda hora? Why also do we endure trials every hour?31En cuanto a mí, cada día me expongo a la muerte, y os aseguro, hermanos, que es por la gloria que a causa de vosotros tengo en Cristo Jesús, Señor nuestro. Daily I die, by means of your boasting, brothers: you whom I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.32Si por, solos motivos humanos luché yo con las fieras en Éfeso ¿de qué me sirve? Si los muertos no resucitan “¡comamos y bebamos! que mañana morimos”. If, according to man, I fought with the beasts at Ephesus, how would that benefit me, if the dead do not rise again? “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die.”33Mas no os dejéis seducir: malas compañías corrompen buenas costumbres. Do not be led astray. Evil communication corrupts good morals.34Reaccionad con rectitud y no pequéis; porque —lo digo para vergüenza vuestra— a algunos les falta conocimiento de Dios. Be vigilant, you just ones, and do not be willing to sin. For certain persons have an ignorance of God. I say this to you with respect.35Pero alguien dirá: ¿Cómo resucitan los muertos? y ¿con qué cuerpo vienen? But someone may say, “How do the dead rise again?” or, “What type of body do they return with?”36¡Oh ignorante! Lo que tú siembras no es vivificado si no muere. How foolish! What you sow cannot be brought back to life, unless it first dies.37Y lo que siembras no es el cuerpo que ha de ser, sino un simple grano, como por ejemplo de trigo, o algún otro. And what you sow is not the body that will be in the future, but a bare grain, such as of wheat, or of some other grain.38Mas Dios le da un cuerpo, así como Él quiso, y a cada semilla cuerpo propio. For God gives it a body according to his will, and according to each seed’s proper body.39No toda carne es la misma carne, sino que una es de hombres, otra de ganados, otra de volátiles y otra de peces. Not all flesh is the same flesh. But one is indeed of men, another truly is of beasts, another is of birds, and another is of fish.40Hay también cuerpos celestes y cuerpos terrestres; pero, uno es el esplendor de los celestes, y otro el de los terrestres. Also, there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. But while the one, certainly, has the glory of heaven, the other has the glory of earth.41Uno es el esplendor del sol, otro el esplendor de la luna, y otro el esplendor de las estrellas; pues en esplendor se diferencia estrella de estrella. One has the brightness of the sun, another the brightness of the moon, and another the brightness of the stars. For even star differs from star in brightness.42Así sucede también en la resurrección de los muertos. Sembrado corruptible, es resucitado incorruptible; So it is also with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown in corruption shall rise to incorruption.43sembrado en ignominia, resucita en gloria; sembrado en debilidad, resucita en poder; What is sown in dishonor shall rise to glory. What is sown in weakness shall rise to power.44sembrado cuerpo natural, resucita cuerpo espiritual; pues si hay cuerpo natural, lo hay también espiritual; What is sown with an animal body shall rise with a spiritual body. If there is an animal body, there is also a spiritual one.45como está escrito: “El primer hombre, Adán, fue hecho alma viviente”, el postrer Adán, espíritu vivificante. Just as it was written that the first man, Adam, was made with a living soul, so shall the last Adam be made with a spirit brought back to life.46Mas no fue antes lo espiritual, sino lo natural, y después lo espiritual. So what is, at first, not spiritual, but animal, next becomes spiritual.47El primer hombre, hecho de tierra, es terrenal; el segundo hombre viene del cielo. The first man, being earthly, was of the earth; the second man, being heavenly, will be of heaven.48Cual es el terrenal, tales son los terrenales; y cual el celestial, tales serán los celestiales. Such things as are like the earth are earthly; and such things as are like the heavens are heavenly.49Y así como hemos llevado la imagen del hombre terrenal, llevaremos la imagen del celestial. And so, just as we have carried the image of what is earthly, let us also carry the image of what is heavenly.50Lo que digo, hermanos, es, pues, esto: que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios, ni la corrupción puede poseer la incorruptibilidad. Now I say this, brothers, because flesh and blood is not able to possess the kingdom of God; neither will what is corrupt possess what is incorrupt.51He aquí que os digo un misterio: No todos moriremos, pero todos seremos transformados Behold, I tell you a mystery. Certainly, we shall all rise again, but we shall not all be transformed:52en un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, a la trompeta final; porque sonará la trompeta y los muertos serán resucitados incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos transformados. in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will rise up, incorruptible. And we shall be transformed.53Pues es necesario que esto corruptible se vista de incorruptibilidad, y esto mortal se vista de inmortalidad. Thus, it is necessary for this corruptibility to be clothed with incorruptibility, and for this mortality to be clothed with immortality.54Cuando esto corruptible se haya vestido de incorruptibilidad, y esto mortal se haya vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra que está escrita: “La muerte es engullida en la victoria. And when this mortality has been clothed with immortality, then the word that was written shall occur: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”55¿Dónde quedó, oh muerte, tu victoria? ¿dónde, oh muerte, tu aguijón?” “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”56El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y la fuerza del pecado es la Ley. Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.57¡Gracias sean dadas a Dios que nos da la victoria por nuestro Señor Jesucristo! But thanks be to God, who has given us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.58Así que, amados hermanos míos, estad firmes, inconmovibles, abundando siempre en la obra del Señor, sabiendo que vuestra fatiga no es vana en el Señor. And so, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and unmovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not useless in the Lord.
