Juan 10
1“En verdad, en verdad, os digo, quien no entra por la puerta en el aprisco de las ovejas, sino que sube por otra parte, ese es un ladrón y un salteador. “Amen, amen, I say to you, he who does not enter through the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up by another way, he is a thief and a robber.2Mas el que entra por la puerta, es el pastor de las ovejas. But he who enters through the door is the shepherd of the sheep.3A este le abre el portero, y las ovejas oyen su voz, y él llama por su nombre a las ovejas propias, y las saca fuera. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name, and he leads them out.4Cuando ha hecho salir todas las suyas, va delante de ellas, y las ovejas le siguen porque conocen su voz. And when he has sent out his sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.5Mas al extraño no le seguirán, antes huirán de él, porque no conocen la voz de los extraños”. But they do not follow a stranger; instead they flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.”6Tal es la parábola, que les dijo Jesús, pero ellos no comprendieron de qué les hablaba. Jesus spoke this proverb to them. But they did not understand what he was saying to them.7Entonces Jesús prosiguió: “En verdad, en verdad, os digo, Yo soy la puerta de las ovejas. Therefore, Jesus spoke to them again: “Amen, amen, I say to you, that I am the door of the sheep.8Todos cuantos han venido antes que Yo son ladrones y salteadores, mas las ovejas no los escucharon. All others, as many as have come, are thieves and robbers, and the sheep did not listen to them.9Yo soy la puerta, si alguno entra por Mí, será salvo; podrá ir y venir y hallará pastos. I am the door. If anyone has entered through me, he will be saved. And he shall go in and go out, and he shall find pastures.10El ladrón no viene sino para robar, para degollar, para destruir. Yo he venido para que tengan vida y vida sobreabundante. The thief does not come, except so that he may steal and slaughter and destroy. I have come so that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.11Yo soy el pastor, el Bueno. El buen pastor pone su vida por las ovejas. I am the good Shepherd. The good Shepherd gives his life for his sheep.12Mas el mercenario, el que no es el pastor, de quien no son propias las ovejas, viendo venir al lobo, abandona las ovejas y huye, y el lobo las arrebata y las dispersa; But the hired hand, and whoever is not a shepherd, to whom the sheep do not belong, he sees the wolf approaching, and he departs from the sheep and flees. And the wolf ravages and scatters the sheep.13porque es mercenario y no tiene interés en las ovejas. And the hired hand flees, because he is a hired hand and there is no concern for the sheep within him.14Yo soy el pastor bueno, y conozco las mías, y las mías me conocen, I am the good Shepherd, and I know my own, and my own know me,15—así como el Padre me conoce y Yo conozco al Padre— y pongo mi vida por mis ovejas. just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. And I lay down my life for my sheep.16Y tengo otras ovejas que no son de este aprisco. A esas también tengo que traer; ellas oirán mi voz, y habrá un solo rebaño y un solo pastor. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold, and I must lead them. They shall hear my voice, and there shall be one sheepfold and one shepherd.17Por esto me ama el Padre, porque Yo pongo mi vida para volver a tomarla. For this reason, the Father loves me: because I lay down my life, so that I may take it up again.18Nadie me la puede quitar, sino que Yo mismo la pongo. Tengo el poder de ponerla, y tengo el poder de recobrarla. Tal es el mandamiento que recibí de mi Padre”. No one takes it away from me. Instead, I lay it down of my own accord. And I have the power to lay it down. And I have the power to take it up again. This is the commandment that I have received from my Father.”19Y de nuevo los judíos se dividieron a causa de estas palabras. A dissension occurred again among the Jews because of these words.20Muchos decían: “Es un endemoniado, está loco. ¿Por qué lo escucháis?” Then many of them were saying: “He has a demon or he is insane. Why do you listen him?”21Otros decían: “Estas palabras no son de un endemoniado. ¿Puede acaso un demonio abrir los ojos de los ciegos?” Others were saying: “These are not the words of someone who has a demon. How would a demon be able to open the eyes of the blind?”22Llegó entre tanto la fiesta de la Dedicación en Jerusalén. Era invierno, Now it was the Feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem, and it was winter.23y Jesús se paseaba en el Templo, bajo el pórtico de Salomón. And Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon.24Lo rodearon, entonces, y le dijeron: “¿Hasta cuándo tendrás nuestros espíritus en suspenso? Si Tú eres el Mesías, dínoslo claramente”. And so the Jews surrounded him and said to him: “How long will you hold our souls in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”25Jesús les replicó: “Os lo he dicho, y no creéis. Las obras que Yo hago en el nombre de mi Padre, esas son las que dan testimonio de Mí. Jesus answered them: “I speak to you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in the name of my Father, these offer testimony about me.26Pero vosotros no creéis porque no sois de mis ovejas. But you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep.27Mis ovejas oyen mi voz, Yo las conozco y ellas me siguen. My sheep hear my voice. And I know them, and they follow me.28Y Yo les daré vida eterna, y no perecerán jamás, y nadie las arrebatará de mi mano. And I give them eternal life, and they shall not perish, for eternity. And no one shall seize them from my hand.29Lo que mi Padre me dio es mayor que todo, y nadie lo puede arrebatar de la mano de mi Padre. What my Father gave to me is greater than all, and no one is able to seize from the hand of my Father.30Yo y mi Padre somos uno”. I and the Father are one.”31De nuevo los judíos recogieron piedras para lapidarlo. Therefore, the Jews took up stones, in order to stone him.32Entonces Jesús les dijo: “Os he hecho ver muchas obras buenas, que son de mi Padre. ¿Por cuál de ellas queréis apedrearme?” Jesus answered them: “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?”33Los judíos le respondieron: “No por obra buena te apedreamos, sino porque blasfemas, y siendo hombre, te haces a Ti mismo Dios”. The Jews answered him: “We do not stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy and because, though you are a man, you make yourself God.”34Respondioles Jesús: “¿No está escrito en vuestra Ley: «Yo dije: sois dioses?» Jesus responded to them: “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said: you are gods?’35Si ha llamado dioses a aquellos a quienes fue dirigida la palabra de Dios —y la Escritura no puede ser anulada— If he called those to whom the word of God was given gods, and Scripture cannot be broken,36¿cómo de Aquel que el Padre consagró y envió al mundo, vosotros decís: «Blasfemas», porque dije: «Yo soy el Hijo de Dios?» why do you say, about him whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You have blasphemed,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God?’37Si no hago las obras de mi Padre, no me creáis; If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe in me.38pero ya que las hago, si no queréis creerme, creed al menos, a esas obras, para que sepáis y conozcáis que el Padre es en Mí, y que Yo soy en el Padre”. But if I do them, even if you are not willing to believe in me, believe the works, so that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”39Entonces trataron de nuevo de apoderarse de Él, pero se escapó de entre sus manos. Therefore, they sought to apprehend him, but he escaped from their hands.40Y se fue nuevamente al otro lado del Jordán, al lugar donde Juan había bautizado primero, y allí se quedó. And he went again across the Jordan, to that place where John first was baptizing. And he lodged there.41Y muchos vinieron a Él, y decían: “Juan no hizo milagros, pero todo lo que dijo de Este, era verdad”. And many went out to him. And they were saying: “Indeed, John accomplished no signs.42Y muchos allí creyeron en Él. But all things whatsoever that John said about this man were true.” And many believed in him.
