Salmos 105

1Hallelú Yah. Celebrad a Yahvé porque es bueno, porque su misericordia es para siempre. Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is with every generation.2¿Quién dirá las hazañas de Yahvé? ¿Pregonará todas sus alabanzas? Who will declare the powers of the Lord? Who make a hearing for all his praises?3Bienaventurados los que conservan sus estatutos y practican la justicia en todo tiempo. Blessed are those who keep judgment and who do justice at all times.4Señor, acuérdate de mí cuando muestres tu bondad para con tu pueblo; visítame cuando operes la salvación Remember us, O Lord, with good will for your people. Visit us with your salvation,5para que yo vea la felicidad de tus escogidos, me goce del gozo de tu pueblo y me gloríe con tu herencia. so that we may see the goodness of your elect, so that we may rejoice in the joy of your nation, so that you may be praised along with your inheritance.6Hemos pecado lo mismo que nuestros padres; obramos el mal, fuimos impíos. We have sinned, as have our fathers. We have acted unjustly; we have wrought iniquity.7Nuestros padres en Egipto no tuvieron en cuenta tus prodigios; no se acordaron de la multitud de tus favores, sino que se rebelaron contra el Altísimo junto al Mar Rojo. Our fathers did not understand your miracles in Egypt. They did not remember the multitude of your mercies. And they provoked you, while going up to the sea, even the Red Sea.8Pero Él los salvó a causa de su Nombre, para dar a conocer su poderío. And he saved them for the sake of his name, so that he might make known his power.9Increpó al Mar Rojo y lo secó, y los condujo por entre las aguas como por un llano. And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up. And he led them into the abyss, as if into a desert.10Los sacó de las manos de sus aborrecedores, y los rescató del poder del enemigo. And he saved them from the hand of those who hated them. And he redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.11Las aguas cubrieron a sus adversarios, no quedó ni uno de ellos. And the water covered those who troubled them. Not one of them remained.12Entonces creyeron a Sus palabras y cantaron Sus alabanzas. And they believed his words, and they sang his praises.13Pronto olvidaron las obras de Él, no aguardaron sus designios, As soon as they had finished, they forgot his works, and they would not endure his counsel.14sino que en el desierto se entregaron a su propia concupiscencia y en la soledad provocaron a Dios. And they coveted their desire in the desert, and they tempted God in a waterless place.15Él les concedió lo que pedían, pero les envió la consunción. And he granted to them their request, and he sent abundance into their souls.16Luego envidiaron a Moisés en el campamento, y a Aarón, el santo de Yahvé. And they provoked Moses in the camp, and Aaron, the holy one of the Lord.17Y la tierra se abrió, y se tragó a Datan, y cubrió a la facción de Abirón. The earth opened and swallowed Dathan, and it covered the congregation of Abiram.18Y se encendió contra su banda un fuego; la llama devoró a los inicuos. And a fire broke out in their congregation. A flame burned up the sinners.19Hicieron un becerro en Horeb, y adoraron una estatua de fundición; And they fashioned a calf at Horeb, and they adored a graven image.20trocando su Gloria por la figura del buey harto de heno, And they exchanged their glory for the likeness of a calf that eats hay.21olvidaron a Dios, que los había salvado y que había hecho portentos en Egipto, They forgot God, who saved them, who did great things in Egypt:22cosas maravillosas en la tierra de Cam, cosas estupendas junto al Mar Rojo. miracles in the land of Ham, terrible things at the Red Sea.23Los habría deshecho, si Moisés, escogido por Él, no se hubiese puesto en la brecha frente a Él, para apartar su furor a fin de que no los exterminase. And he said that he would destroy them, yet Moses, his elect, stood firm before him in the breach, in order to avert his wrath, lest he destroy them.24Y despreciaron la tierra codiciable, no dando crédito a su palabra; And they held the desirable land to be nothing. They did not trust in his word.25y murmuraron en sus tiendas, no escucharon la voz de Yahvé. And they murmured in their tabernacles. They did not heed the voice of the Lord.26Mas Él con mano alzada les juró que los haría caer en el desierto; And he lifted up his hand over them, in order to prostrate them in the desert,27que haría caer a su descendencia entre los gentiles y los dispersaría por las tierras. and in order to cast their offspring among the nations, and to scatter them among the regions.28Y se consagraron a Baalfegor, y comieron de las víctimas inmoladas a dioses muertos. And they were initiated into Baal of Peor, and they ate the sacrifices of the dead.29Con tales delitos le provocaron a ira, y una plaga cayó sobre ellos. And they provoked him with their inventions, and ruination was multiplied in them.30Pero se irguió Fineés, y ejerció la venganza, y la plaga cesó. Then Phinehas stood up and placated him: and so the violent disturbance ceased.31Y esto le fue imputado a justicia por todas sus generaciones para siempre jamás. And it was reputed to him unto justice, from generation to generation, even forever.32Y lo irritaron juntó a las aguas de Meribá; y a Moisés le fue mal por culpa de ellos; And they provoked him at the Waters of Contradiction, and Moses was afflicted because of them,33porque ellos exacerbaron su espíritu, y él dejó que sus labios hablaran inconsideradamente. for they exasperated his spirit. And so he divided them with his lips.34No destruyeron los pueblos que Dios les había señalado; They did not destroy the nations, about which the Lord had spoken to them.35sino que se mezclaron con los gentiles, y aprendieron sus obras, And they were mixed among the Gentiles. And they learned their works,36y adoraron sus ídolos, que fueron para ellos un lazo; and they served their graven images, and it became a scandal to them.37e inmolaron sus hijos y sus hijas a los demonios, And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.38derramando sangre inocente, la sangre de sus hijos y de sus hijas, que sacrificaron a los ídolos de Canaán; y la tierra quedó profanada por la sangre. And they shed innocent blood: the blood of their sons and of their daughters, which they sacrificed to the graven images of Canaan. And the land was infected with bloodshed,39Se contaminaron por sus actos y fornicaron con sus propias obras. and was contaminated with their works. And they fornicated according to their own inventions.40Se encendió entonces la ira de Yahvé contra su pueblo, y abominó de su herencia; And the Lord became furiously angry with his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.41los entregó en manos de los gentiles, y fueron dominados por quienes los odiaban. And he delivered them into the hands of the nations. And those who hated them became rulers over them.42Oprimidos por sus enemigos, tuvieron que doblegarse ante ellos. And their enemies afflicted them, and they were humbled under their hands.43Muchas veces Él los salvó, mas ellos lo exasperaron por sus empeños, y se hundieron más en su iniquidad. Many times, he delivered them. Yet they provoked him with their counsel, and they were brought low by their iniquities.44Con todo, al percibir sus lamentos, fijaba Él los ojos en sus tribulaciones; And he saw that they were in tribulation, and he heard their prayer.45en favor de ellos se acordaba de su alianza, y se arrepentía según la grandeza de su misericordia. And he was mindful of his covenant, and he repented according to the multitude of his mercies.46Y los hacía objeto de la compasión de aquellos que los tenían en cautiverio. And he provided for them with mercies, in the sight of all those who had seized them.47Sálvanos, Yahvé, Dios nuestro, y congréganos de en medio de las naciones, para que celebremos tu santo Nombre y nos gloriemos en tu alabanza. Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from the nations, so that we may confess your holy name and glory in your praise.48Bendito sea Yahvé, Dios de Israel, de siglo en siglo. Y todo el pueblo diga: Amén. ¡Hallelú Yah! Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, from ages past, even to all ages. And let all the people say: Amen. Amen.
