Salmos 106

1Celebrad a Yahvé porque es bueno, porque su misericordia permanece para siempre. Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is with every generation.2Así digan los rescatados de Yahvé, los que Él redimió de manos del enemigo, Let those who have been redeemed by the Lord say so: those whom he redeemed from the hand of the enemy and gathered from the regions,3y a quienes Él ha congregado de las tierras del Oriente y del Occidente, del Norte y del Mediodía. from the rising of the sun and its setting, from the north and from the sea.4Erraban por el desierto, en la soledad, sin hallar camino a una ciudad donde morar. They wandered into solitude in a waterless place. They did not find the way of the city to be their dwelling place.5Sufrían hambre y sed; su alma desfallecía en ellos. They were hungry, and they were thirsty. Their soul fainted within them.6Y clamaron a Yahvé en su angustia, y Él los sacó de sus tribulaciones. And they cried out to the Lord in tribulation, and he rescued them in their necessity.7Y los condujo por camino derecho, para que llegasen a una ciudad donde habitar. And he led them in the right way, so that they might go forth to a city of habitation.8Den gracias a Yahvé por su misericordia, y por sus maravillas en favor de los hijos de los hombres. Let his mercies confess to the Lord, and let his miracles confess to the sons of men.9Porque sació al alma sedienta, y a la hambrienta colmó de bienes. For he has satisfied the empty soul, and he has satisfied the hungry soul with good things:10Moraban en tinieblas y sombras, cautivos de la miseria y del hierro; those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, shackled by extreme poverty and by iron.11porque habían resistido a las palabras de Dios y despreciado el consejo del Altísimo. For they exasperated the eloquence of God, and they irritated the deliberation of the Most High.12Y Él humilló su corazón con trabajos; sucumbían y no había quien los socorriese. And their heart was brought low with hardships. They were weakened, and there was no one to help them.13Y clamaron a Yahvé en su angustia, y Él los sacó de sus tribulaciones. And they cried out to the Lord in their tribulation, and he freed them from their distress.14Y los libró de las tinieblas y de las sombras, y rompió sus cadenas. And he led them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and he broke apart their chains.15Den gracias a Yahvé por su misericordia, y por sus maravillas en favor de los hijos de los hombres; Let his mercies confess to the Lord, and let his miracles confess to the sons of men.16porque Él rompió las puertas de bronce, e hizo pedazos los cerrojos de hierro. For he has crushed the gates of brass and broken the iron bars.17Estaban enfermos a causa de su iniquidad, y afligidos a causa de sus delitos; He has taken them up, from the way of their iniquity. For they were brought low, because of their injustices.18sintieron náuseas de todo alimento, y llegaron a las puertas de la muerte. Their soul abhorred all food, and they drew near even to the gates of death.19Y clamaron a Yahvé en su angustia, y Él los sacó de sus tribulaciones. And they cried out to the Lord in their tribulation, and he delivered them in their necessity.20Envió su Palabra para sanarlos y arrancarlos de la perdición. He sent his word, and he healed them, and he rescued them from their utter destruction.21Den gracias a Yahvé por su misericordia, y por sus maravillas en favor de los hijos de los hombres, Let his mercies confess to the Lord, and let his miracles confess to the sons of men.22y ofrezcan sacrificios de alabanza, y publiquen con júbilo sus obras. And let them offer sacrifice with the sacrifice of praise, and let them announce his works in exultation.23Surcaban en naves el mar, traficando sobre las vastas ondas, Those who descend to the sea in ships, making their livelihood in the great waters:24esos vieron las obras del Señor, y sus maravillas en el piélago. these have seen the works of the Lord and his wonders in the deep.25Con Su palabra suscitó un viento borrascoso, que levantó las olas del mar; He spoke: and a windstorm stood up, and its waves were exalted.26subían hasta el cielo y descendían hasta el abismo, su alma desmayaba en medio de sus males. They ascend even to the heavens, and they descend even to the abyss. Their soul will waste away in distress.27Titubeaban y se tambaleaban como ebrios, y les fallaba toda su pericia. They were troubled, and they moved like a drunkard, and all their wisdom was consumed.28Y clamaron a Yahvé en su angustia, y Él los sacó de sus tribulaciones. And they cried out to the Lord in their tribulation, and he led them out of their distress.29Tornó el huracán en suave brisa, y las ondas del mar callaron. And he replaced the storm with a breeze, and its waves were stilled.30Y se alegraron de que callasen, y los condujo al puerto deseado. And they were joyful that it was stilled, and he led them into the haven that they desired.31Den gracias a Yahvé por su misericordia, y por sus maravillas en favor de los hijos de los hombres. Let his mercies confess to the Lord, and let his miracles confess to the sons of men.32Celébrenlo en la asamblea del pueblo, y en la reunión de los ancianos, cántenle. And let them exalt him in the Church of the people, and praise him in the chair of the elders.33Él convirtió los ríos en desierto, y los manantiales en árida tierra, He has placed rivers in the desert and sources of water in dry places,34el suelo fructífero en un salobral, por la malicia de sus moradores. a fruit-bearing land in the midst of brine, before the malice of those who dwell in it.35Él mismo ha convertido el desierto en lago y la tierra árida en manantiales, He has placed a desert in the midst of pools of waters, and a land without water in the midst of sources of water.36allí coloca a los hambrientos, y fundan una ciudad para habitarla. And he has gathered the hungry together there, and they constructed a city of habitation.37Siembran los campos y plantan viñas, y obtienen de ellos los frutos. And they sowed fields and planted vineyards, and they produced the fruit of nativity.38Bendecidos por Él se multiplican en gran manera, y sus ganados no disminuyen nunca. And he blessed them, and they were multiplied exceedingly. And he did not diminish their beasts of burden.39Aunque reducidos a pocos y despreciados, por el peso del infortunio y de la aflicción, And they became few, and they were afflicted by the tribulation of evils and of sorrow.40Aquel que derrama desprecio sobre los príncipes, y los hace errar por desiertos sin huellas, Contempt was poured over their leaders, and he caused them to wander in an impassable place, and not on the way.41ha levantado de la miseria al indigente, y hace las familias numerosas como rebaños. And he helped the poor out of destitution, and he stationed families like sheep.42Lo ven los justos y se alegran, y toda malicia cierra su boca. The upright will see, and they will rejoice. And every iniquity will block its mouth.43¿Quién es el sabio que considere estas cosas y comprenda las misericordias del Señor? Who is wise and will keep these things? And who will understand the mercies of the Lord?
