Salmos 15
1Presérvame, oh Dios, pues me refugio en Ti; The inscription of a title: of David himself. Preserve me, O Lord, because I have hoped in you.2dije a Yahvé: “Tú eres mi Señor, no hay bien para mí fuera de Ti”. I have said to the Lord: “You are my God, so you have no need of my goodness.”3En cuanto a los santos e ilustres de la tierra, no pongo en ellos mi afecto. As for the saints, who are in his land: he has made all my desires wonderful in them.4Multiplican sus dolores los que corren tras falsos dioses; no libaré la sangre de sus ofrendas, ni pronunciaré sus nombres con mis labios. Their infirmities have been multiplied; after this, they acted more quickly. I will not gather for their convocations of blood, nor will I remember their names with my lips.5Yahvé es la porción de mi herencia y de mi cáliz; Tú tienes en tus manos mi suerte. The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. It is you who will restore my inheritance to me.6Las cuerdas (de medir) cayeron para mí en buen lugar, y me tocó una herencia que me encanta. The lots have fallen upon me with clarity. And, indeed, my inheritance has been very clear to me.7Bendeciré a Yahvé, porque me (lo) hizo entender, y aun durante la noche me (lo) enseña mi corazón. I will bless the Lord, who has bestowed understanding upon me. Moreover, my temperament has also corrected me, even through the night.8Tengo siempre a Yahvé ante mis ojos, porque con Él a mi diestra no seré conmovido. I have made provision for the Lord always in my sight. For he is at my right hand, so that I may not be disturbed.9Por eso se alegra mi corazón y se regocija mi alma, y aun mi carne descansará segura; Because of this, my heart has been joyful, and my tongue has exulted. Moreover, even my body will rest in hope.10pues Tú no dejarás a mi alma en el sepulcro, ni permitirás que tu santo experimente corrupción. For you will not abandon my soul to Hell, nor will you allow your holy one to see corruption.11Tú me harás conocer la senda de la vida, la plenitud del gozo a la vista de tu rostro, las eternas delicias de tu diestra. You have made known to me the ways of life; you will fill me with joy by your countenance. At your right hand are delights, even to the end.
