1Al maestro de coro. Salmo de David. Unto the end. A Psalm of David.2Oh Yahvé, de tu poder se goza el rey, y está lleno de alegría por tu auxilio. In your virtue, Lord, the king will rejoice, and over your salvation, he will exult exceedingly.3Cumpliste el anhelo de su corazón, y no frustraste la petición de sus labios. You have granted him the desire of his heart, and you have not cheated him of the wish of his lips.4Lo previniste con faustas bendiciones, corona de oro puro pusiste en su cabeza. For you have gone ahead of him with blessings of sweetness. You have placed a crown of precious stones on his head.5Te pidió la vida y le has dado días que durarán por los siglos de los siglos. He petitioned you for life, and you have granted him length of days, in the present time, and forever and ever.6Gracias a tu socorro es grande su gloria; lo colmaste de honor y de magnificencia. Great is his glory in your salvation. Glory and great adornment, you will lay upon him.7Porque has hecho que él sea una bendición para siempre, y lo has llenado de alegría con el gozo de tu vista. For you will give him as a blessing forever and ever. You will make him rejoice with gladness in your presence.8Pues el rey confía en Yahvé, y merced al Altísimo no será conmovido. Because the king hopes in the Lord, and in the mercy of the Most High, he will not be disturbed.9Descargue tu mano sobre todos tus enemigos; alcance tu diestra a los que te aborrecen. May your hand be found by all your enemies. May your right hand discover all those who hate you.10Cuando tu rostro aparezca los pondrás como en un horno encendido. El Señor los destruirá en su ira, y el fuego los devorará. You will make them like an oven of fire, in the time of your presence. The Lord will stir them up with his wrath, and fire will devour them.11Quita de la tierra su descendencia, y su raza de entre los hijos de los hombres. You will destroy their fruit from the earth and their offspring from the sons of men.12Y si dirigen sus malas artes contra Ti y maquinan insidias, nada podrán. For they have turned evils upon you; they have devised plans, which they have not been able to accomplish.13Porque Tú los pondrás en fuga al dirigir tu arco hacia su rostro. For you will make them turn their back; with your remnants, you will prepare their countenance.14Levántate, Yahvé, en tu poderío, y con salmos celebraremos tus hazañas. Be exalted, Lord, by your own power. We will play music and sing psalms to your virtues.
