Salmos 21

1Al maestro de coro. Por el pronto socorro. Salmo de David. Unto the end. For the tasks of early morning. A Psalm of David.2Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has abandonado? Los gritos de mis pecados alejan de mí el socorro. O God, my God, look upon me. Why have you forsaken me? Far from my salvation are the words of my offenses.3Dios mío, clamo de día, y no respondes; de noche también, y no te cuidas de mí. My God, I will cry out by day, and you will not heed, and by night, and it will not be foolishness for me.4Y Tú, sin embargo, estás en tu santa morada, ¡oh gloria de Israel! But you dwell in holiness, O Praise of Israel.5En Ti esperaron nuestros padres; esperaron, y los libraste. In you, our fathers have hoped. They hoped, and you freed them.6A Ti clamaron, y fueron salvados; en Ti confiaron, y no quedaron confundidos. They cried out to you, and they were saved. In you, they hoped and were not confounded.7Pero es que yo soy gusano, y no hombre, oprobio de los hombres y desecho de la plebe. But I am a worm and not a man: a disgrace among men, and an outcast of the people.8Cuantos me ven se mofan de mí, tuercen los labios y menean la cabeza: All those who saw me have derided me. They have spoken with the lips and shook the head.9“Confió en Yahvé: que Él lo salve; líbrelo, ya que en Él se complace.” He has hoped in the Lord, let him rescue him. Let him save him because he chooses him.10Sí, Tú eres mi sostén desde el seno materno, mi refugio desde los pechos de mi madre. For you are the one who has drawn me out of the womb, my hope from the breasts of my mother.11A Ti fui entregado desde mi nacimiento; desde el vientre de mi madre Tú eres mi Dios. I have been thrown upon you from the womb; from the womb of my mother, you are my God.12No estés lejos de mí, porque la tribulación está cerca, porque no hay quien socorra. Do not depart from me. For tribulation is near, since there is no one who may help me.13Me veo rodeado de muchos toros; los fuertes de Basan me cercan; Many calves have surrounded me; fat bulls have besieged me.14abren contra mí sus bocas, cual león rapaz y rugiente. They have opened their mouths over me, just like a lion seizing and roaring.15Soy como agua derramada, todos mis huesos se han descoyuntado; mi corazón, como cera, se diluye en mis entrañas. And so, I have been poured out like water, and all my bones have been scattered. My heart has become like wax, melting in the midst of my chest.16Mi garganta se ha secado como una teja; mi lengua se pega a mi paladar, me has reducido al polvo de la muerte. My strength has dried up like clay, and my tongue has adhered to my jaws. And you have pulled me down, into the dust of death.17Porque me han rodeado muchos perros; una caterva de malvados me encierra; han perforado mis manos y mis pies; For many dogs have surrounded me. The council of the malicious has besieged me. They have pierced my hands and feet.18puedo contar todos mis huesos. Entretanto, ellos miran, y al verme se alegran. They have numbered all my bones. And they have examined me and stared at me.19Se reparten mis vestidos, y sobre mi túnica echan suertes. They divided my garments among them, and over my vestment, they cast lots.20Mas Tú, Yahvé, no estés lejos de mí; sostén mío, apresúrate a socorrerme. But you, O Lord, do not take your help far from me; be attentive to my defense.21Libra mi alma de la espada, mi vida del poder del perro. O God, rescue my soul from the spear, and my only one from the hand of the dog.22Sálvame de la boca del león; de entre las astas de los bisontes escúchame. Save me from the mouth of the lion, and my humility from the horns of the single-horned beast.23Anunciaré tu Nombre a mis hermanos, y proclamaré tu alabanza en medio de la asamblea. I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the Church, I will praise you.24Los que teméis a Yahvé alabadle, glorificadle, vosotros todos, linaje de Israel. You who fear the Lord, praise him. All the offspring of Jacob, glorify him.25Pues no despreció ni desatendió la miseria del miserable; no escondió de él su rostro, y cuando imploró su auxilio, le escuchó. May all the offspring of Israel fear him. For he has neither spurned nor despised the pleas of the poor. Neither has he turned his face away from me. And when I cried out to him, he heeded me.26Para Ti será mi alabanza en la gran asamblea, cumpliré mis votos en presencia de los que te temen. My praise is with you, within a great church. I will pay my vows in the sight of those who fear him.27Los pobres comerán y se hartarán, alabarán a Yahvé los que le buscan. Sus corazones vivirán para siempre. The poor will eat and be satisfied, and those who yearn for the Lord will praise him. Their hearts will live forever and ever.28Recordándolo, volverán a Yahvé todos los confines de la tierra; y todas las naciones de los gentiles se postrarán ante su faz. All the ends of the earth will remember, and they will be converted to the Lord. And all the families of the Gentiles will adore in his sight.29Porque de Yahvé es el reino, y Él mismo gobernará a las naciones. For the kingdom belongs to the Lord, and he will have dominion over the Gentiles.30A Él solo adorarán todos los que duermen bajo la tierra; ante Él se encorvará todo el que desciende al polvo, y no tiene ya vida en sí. All the fat of the earth have gnashed their teeth, and they have adored. In his sight, they will fall down, all those who descend to the ground.31Mi descendencia le servirá a Él y hablará de Yahvé a la edad venidera. And my soul will live for him, and my offspring will serve him.32Anunciará su justicia a un pueblo que ha de nacer: “Estas cosas ha hecho Yahvé.” There will be announced for the Lord a future generation, and the heavens will announce his justice to a people who will be born, whom the Lord has made.
