Salmos 2
1¿Por qué se amotinan las gentes, y las naciones traman vanos proyectos? Why have the Gentiles been seething, and why have the people been pondering nonsense?2Se han levantado los reyes de la tierra, y a una se confabulan los príncipes contra Yahvé y contra su Ungido. The kings of the earth have stood up, and the leaders have joined together as one, against the Lord and against his Christ:3“Rompamos (dicen) sus coyundas, y arrojemos lejos de nosotros sus ataduras.” “Let us shatter their chains and cast their yoke away from us.”4El que habita en los cielos ríe, el Señor se burla de ellos. He who dwells in heaven will ridicule them, and the Lord will mock them.5A su tiempo les hablará en su ira, y en su indignación los aterrará: Then will he speak to them in his anger and trouble them with his fury.6“Pues bien, soy Yo quien he constituido a mi Rey sobre Sión, mi santo monte.” Yet I have been appointed king by him over Zion, his holy mountain, preaching his precepts.7¡Yo promulgaré ese decreto de Yahvé! Él me ha dicho: “Tú eres mi Hijo, Yo mismo te he engendrado en este día. The Lord has said to me: You are my son, this day have I begotten you.8Pídeme y te daré en herencia las naciones, y en posesión tuya los confines de la tierra, Ask of me and I will give to you: the Gentiles for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.9Con cetro de hierro los gobernarás, los harás pedazos como a un vaso de alfarero.” You will rule them with an iron rod, and you will shatter them like a potter’s vessel.10Ahora, pues, oh reyes, comprended, instruíos, vosotros que gobernáis la tierra. And now, O kings, understand. Receive instruction, you who judge the earth.11Sed siervos de Yahvé con temor y alabadle, temblando, besad sus pies, Serve the Lord in fear, and exult in him with trembling.12antes que se irrite y vosotros erréis el camino, pues su ira se encenderá pronto. ¡Dichoso quien haya hecho de Él su refugio! Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord might become angry, and you would perish from the way of the just.
