Salmos 30
1Al maestro de coro. Salmo de David. Unto the end. A Psalm of David according to an ecstasy.2En Ti, Yahvé, me refugio; no quede yo nunca confundido; sálvame con tu justicia. In you, Lord, I have hoped; let me never be confounded. In your justice, deliver me.3Inclina a mí tu oído, apresúrate a librarme. Sé para mí la roca de seguridad, la fortaleza donde me salves. Incline your ear to me. Hasten to rescue me. Be for me a protector God and a house of refuge, so as to accomplish my salvation.4Porque Tú eres mi peña y mi baluarte, y por la gloria de tu nombre, cuidarás de mí y me conducirás. For you are my strength and my refuge; and for the sake of your name, you will lead me and nourish me.5Tú me sacarás de la red, que ocultamente me tendieron, porque eres mi protector. You will lead me out of this snare, which they have hidden for me. For you are my protector.6En tus manos encomiendo mi espíritu. ¡Tú me redimirás, oh Yahvé, Dios fiel! Into your hands, I commend my spirit. You have redeemed me, O Lord, God of truth.7Aborreces a los que dan culto a vanos ídolos, mas yo pongo mi confianza en Yahvé. You have hated those who practice emptiness to no purpose. But I have hoped in the Lord.8Rebosaré de gozo y alegría por tu compasión; pues Tú ves mi miseria, y has socorrido a mi alma en sus angustias; I will exult and rejoice in your mercy. For you have looked upon my humility; you have saved my soul from needfulness.9nunca me entregaste en manos del enemigo, sino que afianzaste mis pies en lugar espacioso. And you have not enclosed me in the hands of the enemy. You have set my feet in a spacious place.10Ten piedad de mí, Yahvé, porque estoy conturbado; mis ojos decaen de tristeza, mi alma y mi cuerpo desfallecen juntamente. Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am troubled. My eye has been disturbed by wrath, along with my soul and my gut.11Porque mi vida se va acabando entre dolores y mis años entre gemidos. Mi vigor ha flaqueado en la aflicción, y se han debilitado mis huesos. For my life has fallen into sorrow, and my years into sighing. My virtue has been weakened in poverty, and my bones have been disturbed.12He venido a ser objeto de oprobio para todos mis enemigos, de burla para mis vecinos y de horror para mis amigos: los que me encuentran por la calle se apartan de mí; I have become a disgrace among all my enemies, and even more so to my neighbors, and a dread to my acquaintances. Those who catch sight of me, flee away from me.13como si hubiera muerto, se ha borrado mi recuerdo de sus corazones; he llegado a ser como una vasija rota. I have become forgotten, like one dead to the heart. I have become like a damaged utensil.14Oigo el hablar malévolo de muchos, y esparcir el espanto en torno mío. Mientras a una se conjuran contra mí, han pensado en quitarme la vida. For I have heard the harsh criticism of many who linger in the area. While assembled together against me in that place, they deliberated on how to take away my life.15Pero yo confío en Ti, Yahvé; digo: “Tú eres mi Dios.” But I have hoped in you, O Lord. I said, “You are my God.”16Mi destino está en tu mano; sácame del poder de mis enemigos y de mis perseguidores. My fate is in your hands. Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from those who are persecuting me.17Muestra a tu siervo tu rostro sereno; sálvame por tu misericordia. Shine your face upon your servant. Save me in your mercy.18Oh Yahvé, no tenga yo que avergonzarme por haberte invocado; avergonzados queden los impíos y reducidos al silencio del abismo. Do not let me be confounded, Lord, for I have called upon you. Let the impious be ashamed and be drawn down into Hell.19Enmudezcan esos labios mentirosos que, con soberbia y menosprecio, hablan inicuamente contra el justo. May deceitful lips be silenced: those that speak iniquity against the just, in arrogance and in abusiveness.20¡Oh cuán grande, Señor, es la bondad que reservas para los que te temen, y concedes a quienquiera recurre a Ti delante de los hombres! How great is the multitude of your sweetness, O Lord, which you keep hidden for those who fear you, which you have perfected for those who hope in you, in the sight of the sons of men.21Tú proteges a cada uno con tu propio rostro, frente a la conspiración de los hombres; en tu tienda los escondes del azote de las lenguas. You hide them in the concealment of your face, from the disturbance of men. You protect them in your tabernacle, from the contradiction of tongues.22Bendito sea Yahvé, porque en ciudad fuerte ha mostrado su admirable misericordia para conmigo. Blessed is the Lord. For he has shown his wonderful mercy to me, in a fortified city.23Verdad que yo, en mi perturbación, llegué a decir: “Separado estoy de tu vista”; mas Tú oíste la voz de mi súplica cuando grité hacia Ti. But I said in the excess of my mind: “I have been cast away from the glance of your eyes.” And so, you heeded the voice of my prayer, while I was still crying out to you.24Amad a Yahvé, todos sus santos, pues Yahvé protege a los fieles, mientras retribuye plenamente a los que obran con soberbia. Love the Lord, all you his saints. For the Lord will require truth, and he will abundantly repay those who act with arrogance.25¡Animaos y confortad vuestro corazón, todos los que esperáis en Yahvé! Act manfully, and let your heart be strengthened, all you who hope in the Lord.
