Salmos 31
1Maskil de David. Dichoso aquel a quien es perdonada su iniquidad, cuyo pecado es olvidado. The understanding of David himself. Blessed are they whose iniquities have been forgiven and whose sins have been covered.2Dichoso el hombre a quien Yahvé no imputa culpa y en cuyo espíritu no hay doblez. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord has not imputed sin, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.3Mientras callé se consumieron mis huesos, en medio de mis continuos gemidos. Because I was silent, my bones grew old, while still I cried out all day long.4Porque de día y de noche pesaba sobre mí tu mano, me revolcaba en mi miseria mientras tenía clavada la espina. For, day and night, your hand was heavy upon me. I have been converted in my anguish, while still the thorn is piercing.5Entonces te manifesté mi delito, y no te oculté mi culpa; dije: “confesaré mi iniquidad a Yahvé” y Tú remitiste la culpa de mi pecado. I have acknowledged my offense to you, and I have not concealed my injustice. I said, “I will confess against myself, my injustice to the Lord,” and you forgave the impiety of my sin.6Que te invoquen todos los fieles, en el tiempo en que puedes ser hallado; aunque irrumpiera un diluvio de agua, no les alcanzará. For this, everyone who is holy will pray to you in due time. Yet truly, in a flood of many waters, they will not draw near to him.7Tú para mí eres un refugio que me libra de la angustia, Tú me envuelves en el gozo de mi salud. You are my refuge from the tribulation that has surrounded me. You are my exultation: rescue me from those who are surrounding me.8“Yo te aleccionaré y te mostraré el camino que has de seguir; de ti cuidaré y fijaré sobre ti mis ojos. I will give you understanding, and I will instruct you in this way, in which you will walk. I will fix my eyes upon you.9No quieras ser como el caballo o el mulo, sin entendimiento, que han de ser domados con freno y riendas para que te obedezcan.” Do not become like the horse and the mule, which have no understanding. Their jaws are constrained with bit and bridle, so as not to draw near to you.10Muchos dolores aguardan al pecador, mas al que confía en Yahvé lo defenderá la misericordia. Many are the scourges of the sinner, but mercy will surround him that hopes in the Lord.11Alegraos en Yahvé y regocijaos, oh justos; saltad de júbilo todos los rectos de corazón. Rejoice in the Lord and exult, you just ones, and glory, all you upright of heart.
