Salmos 32
1Cantad, oh justos, a Yahvé, la alabanza es propia de los rectos. A Psalm of David. Exult in the Lord, you just ones; together praise the upright.2Celebrad al Señor con la cítara; con el arpa de diez cuerdas cantadle himnos. Confess to the Lord with stringed instruments; sing psalms to him with the psaltery, the instrument of ten strings.3Entonadle un cántico nuevo; tañed bien sonoramente. Sing to him a new song. Sing psalms to him skillfully, with loud exclamation.4Porque la Palabra de Yahvé es recta, y toda su conducta es fiel. For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his works are in faith.5Él ama la misericordia y la justicia, la tierra está llena de la bondad de Yahvé. He loves mercy and judgment. The earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.6Por la Palabra de Yahvé fueron hechos los cielos, y todo su ornato por el soplo de su boca. By the word of the Lord, the heavens were established, and all their power, by the Spirit of his mouth:7Él junta como en un odre las aguas del mar, encierra en depósitos los abismos. gathering together the waters of the sea, as if in a container, placing the depths in storage.8Tema a Yahvé toda la tierra; reveréncienle todos los pobladores del orbe. Let all the earth fear the Lord, and may all the inhabitants of the world quake before him.9Porque Él habló y quedaron hechos; mandó, y tuvieron ser. For he spoke, and they became. He commanded, and they were created.10Yahvé desbarata los planes de las naciones, deshace los designios de los pueblos. The Lord scatters the counsels of the nations. Moreover, he reproves the thoughts of the people, and he rejects the counsels of the leaders.11Mas los planes del Señor permanecen eternamente; los designios de su corazón, de generación en generación. But the counsel of the Lord remains for eternity, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.12¡Dichoso el pueblo que tiene por Dios a Yahvé, dichoso el pueblo que Él escogió para herencia suya! Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his inheritance.13Yahvé mira desde lo alto de los cielos, ve a todos los hijos de los hombres. The Lord has looked down from heaven. He has seen all the sons of men.14Desde el lugar de su morada fija sus ojos, sobre todos los que habitan la tierra. From his well-prepared dwelling place, he has gazed upon all who dwell on the earth.15Él, que formó el corazón de cada uno, presta atención a todas sus acciones. He has formed the hearts of each one of them; he understands all their works.16No vence el rey por un gran ejército; el guerrero no se salva por su mucha fuerza. The king is not saved by great power, nor will the giant be saved by his many powers.17Engañoso es el caballo para la victoria, todo su vigor no salvará al jinete. The horse is false safety; for he will not be saved by the abundance of his powers.18Mas los ojos de Yahvé velan por los que le temen, por los que esperan de su misericordia, Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him and on those who hope in his mercy,19que ha de librar sus almas de la muerte, y alimentarlos en el tiempo de hambre. so as to rescue their souls from death and to feed them during famine.20Nuestra alma cuenta con Yahvé; Él es nuestra ayuda y nuestro escudo. Our soul remains with the Lord. For he is our helper and protector.21En Él se regocija nuestro corazón, y en su santo Nombre confiamos. For in him, our heart will rejoice, and in his holy name, we have hoped.22Sea, Yahvé, sobre nosotros tu misericordia, según lo esperamos de Ti. Let your mercy be upon us, O Lord, just as we have hoped in you.
