Salmos 33
1De David. Cuando fingió ante el rey Abimelec haber perdido el juicio, y este le desterró y él pudo salvarse. To David, when he changed his appearance in the sight of Abimelech, and so he dismissed him, and he went away.2Quiero bendecir a Yahvé en todo tiempo, tener siempre en mi boca su alabanza. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will be ever in my mouth.3En Yahvé se gloría mi alma; oigan los afligidos y alégrense. In the Lord, my soul will be praised. May the meek listen and rejoice.4Enalteced conmigo a Yahvé, y juntos ensalcemos su Nombre. Magnify the Lord with me, and let us extol his name in itself.5Busqué a Yahvé y Él me escuchó, y me libró de todos mis temores. I sought the Lord, and he heeded me, and he carried me away from all my tribulations.6Miradlo a Él para que estéis radiantes de gozo, y vuestros rostros no estén cubiertos de vergüenza. Approach him and be enlightened, and your faces will not be confounded.7He aquí un miserable que clamó, y Yahvé lo oyó, lo salvó de todas sus angustias. This poor one cried out, and the Lord heeded him, and he saved him from all his tribulations.8El ángel de Yahvé monta guardia en torno a los temerosos de Dios y los salva. The Angel of the Lord will encamp around those who fear him, and he will rescue them.9Gustad y ved cuan bueno es Yahvé; dichoso el hombre que se refugia en Él. Taste and see that the Lord is sweet. Blessed is the man who hopes in him.10Temed a Yahvé, vosotros, santos suyos; los que le temen no carecen de nada. Fear the Lord, all you his saints. For there is no destitution for those who fear him.11Empobrecen los ricos y sufren hambre; pero a los que buscan a Yahvé no les faltará ningún bien. The rich have been needy and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not be deprived of any good thing.12Venid, hijos, escuchadme, y os enseñaré el temor de Yahvé. Come forward, sons. Listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.13¿Ama alguno la vida? ¿Desea largos días para gozar del bien? Which is the man who wills life, who chooses to see good days?14Pues guarda tu lengua del mal, y tus labios de las palabras dolosas. Prohibit your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.15Apártate del mal, y obra el bien; busca la paz, y ve en pos de ella. Turn away from evil, and do good. Inquire about peace, and pursue it.16Los ojos de Yahvé miran a los justos; y sus oídos están abiertos a lo que ellos piden. The eyes of the Lord are on the just, and his ears are with their prayers.17Yahvé aparta su vista de los que obran el mal, para borrar de la tierra su memoria. But the countenance of the Lord is upon those who do evil, to perish the remembrance of them from the earth.18Claman los justos y Yahvé los oye, y los saca de todas sus angustias. The just cried out, and the Lord heard them, and he freed them from all their tribulations.19Yahvé está junto a los que tienen el corazón atribulado y salva a los de espíritu compungido. The Lord is near to those who are troubled in heart, and he will save the humble in spirit.20Muchas son las pruebas del justo, mas de todas lo libra Yahvé. Many are the afflictions of the just, but from them all the Lord will free them.21Vela por cada uno de sus huesos; ni uno solo será quebrado. The Lord preserves all of their bones, not one of them shall be broken.22La malicia del impío lo lleva a la muerte; y los que odian al justo serán castigados. The death of a sinner is very harmful, and those who hate the just will fare badly.23Yahvé redime las almas de sus siervos, y quienquiera se refugie en Él no pecará. The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants, and none of those who hope in him will fare badly.
