Salmos 37
1Salmo de David. Para recuerdo. A Psalm of David, in commemoration of the Sabbath.2Yahvé, no me arguyas en tu ira, ni me castigues en tu furor. O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your wrath.3Mira que tengo clavadas tus flechas, y tu mano ha caído sobre mí. For your arrows have been driven into me, and your hand has been confirmed over me.4A causa de tu indignación no hay en mi carne parte sana, ni un hueso tengo intacto, por culpa de mi pecado. There is no health in my flesh before the face of your wrath. There is no peace for my bones before the face of my sins.5Es que mis iniquidades pasan sobre mi cabeza, me aplasta el peso de su carga. For my iniquities have walked over my head, and they have been like a heavy burden weighing upon me.6Mis llagas hieden y supuran, por culpa de mi insensatez. My sores have putrefied and been corrupted before the face of my foolishness.7Inclinado, encorvado hasta el extremo, en mi tristeza ando todo el día sin rumbo; I have become miserable, and I have been bent down, even to the end. I have walked with contrition all day long.8mis entrañas se abrasan de dolor, no queda nada sano en mi cuerpo. For my loins have been filled with illusions, and there is no health in my flesh.9Languidezco abrumado; los gemidos de mi corazón me hacen rugir. I have been afflicted and greatly humbled. I bellowed from the groaning of my heart.10Señor, a tu vista están todos mis suspiros, y mis gemidos no se te ocultan. O Lord, all my desire is before you, and my groaning before you has not been hidden.11Palpita fuertemente mi corazón; las fuerzas me abandonan, y aún me falta la luz de mis ojos. My heart has been disturbed. My strength has abandoned me, and the light of my eyes has abandoned me, and it is not with me.12Mis amigos y compañeros se han apartado de mis llagas, y mis allegados se mantienen, a distancia. My friends and my neighbors have drawn near and stood against me. And those who were next to me stood far apart. And those who sought my soul used violence.13Me tienden lazos los que atentan contra mi vida; los que buscan mi perdición hablan de amenazas y forman todo el día designios aviesos. And those who sought evil accusations against me were speaking emptiness. And they practiced deceitfulness all day long.14Yo entretanto, como sordo, no escucho; y soy como mudo que no abre sus labios. But, like someone deaf, I did not hear. And I was like someone mute, not opening his mouth.15Me he hecho semejante a un hombre que no oye y que no tiene respuesta en su boca; And I became like a man who does not hear, and who has no reproofs in his mouth.16porque confío en Ti, oh Yahvé, Tú responderás, Señor Dios mío. For in you, Lord, I have hoped. You will listen to me, O Lord my God.17Yo he dicho en efecto: “No se alegren a costa mía, y no se ensoberbezcan contra mí al vacilar mi pie.” For I said, “Lest at any time, my enemies might rejoice over me,” and, “While my feet are being shaken, they have spoken great things against me.”18Pues me encuentro a punto de caer, y tengo siempre delante mi flaqueza, For I have been prepared for scourges, and my sorrow is ever before me.19dado que confieso mi culpa y estoy lleno de turbación por mi delito; For I will announce my iniquity, and I will think about my sin.20en tanto que son poderosos los que injustamente me hacen guerra, y muchos los que me odian sin causa. But my enemies live, and they have been stronger than me. And those who have wrongfully hated me have been multiplied.21Y los que devuelven mal por bien me hostilizan, porque me empeño en lo bueno. Those who render evil for good have dragged me down, because I followed goodness.22No me abandones, oh Yahvé; Dios mío, no quieras estar lejos de mí. Do not forsake me, O Lord my God. Do not depart from me.23Apresúrate a socorrerme, Yahvé, salvación mía. Be attentive to my help, O Lord, the God of my salvation.
