1Al maestro de coro. Salmo de David. Unto the end. A Psalm of David,2Cuando después que pecó con Betsabee, se llegó a él Natán. when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he went to Bathsheba.3Ten compasión de mí, oh Dios, en la medida de tu misericordia; según la grandeza de tus bondades, borra mi iniquidad. Be merciful to me, O God, according to your great mercy. And, according to the plentitude of your compassion, wipe out my iniquity.4Lávame a fondo de mi culpa, límpiame de mi pecado. Wash me once again from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.5Porque yo reconozco mi maldad, y tengo siempre delante mi delito. For I know my iniquity, and my sin is ever before me.6He pecado contra Ti, contra Ti solo, he obrado lo que es desagradable a tus ojos, de modo que se manifieste la justicia de tu juicio y tengas razón en condenarme. Against you only have I sinned, and I have done evil before your eyes. And so, you are justified in your words, and you will prevail when you give judgment.7Es que soy nacido en la iniquidad, y ya mi madre me concibió en pecado. For behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and in sinfulness did my mother conceive me.8Mas he aquí que Tú te complaces en la sinceridad del corazón, y en lo íntimo del mío me haces conocer la sabiduría. For behold, you have loved truth. The obscure and hidden things of your wisdom, you have manifested to me.9Rocíame con hisopo, y seré limpio; lávame Tú, y quedaré más blanco que la nieve. You will sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed. You will wash me, and I will be made whiter than snow.10Hazme oír tu palabra de gozo y de alegría, y saltarán de felicidad estos huesos que has quebrantado. In my hearing, you will grant gladness and rejoicing. And the bones that have been humbled will exult.11Aparta tu rostro, de mis pecados, y borra todas mis culpas. Turn your face away from my sins, and erase all my iniquities.12Crea en mí, oh Dios, un corazón sencillo, y renueva en mi interior un espíritu recto. Create a clean heart in me, O God. And renew an upright spirit within my inmost being.13No me rechaces de tu presencia, y no me quites el espíritu de tu santidad. Do not cast me away from your face; and do not take your Holy Spirit from me.14Devuélveme la alegría de tu salud; confírmame en un espíritu de príncipe. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and confirm me with an unsurpassed spirit.15Enseñaré a los malos tus caminos; y los pecadores se convertirán a Ti. I will teach the unjust your ways, and the impious will be converted to you.16Líbrame de la sangre, oh Dios, Dios Salvador mío, y vibre mi lengua de exultación por tu justicia. Free me from blood, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue will extol your justice.17Abre Tú mis labios, oh Señor, y mi boca publicará tus alabanzas, O Lord, you will open my lips, and my mouth will announce your praise.18pues los sacrificios no te agradan, y si te ofreciera un holocausto no lo aceptarías. For if you had desired sacrifice, I would certainly have given it, but with holocausts, you will not be delighted.19Mi sacrificio, oh Dios, es el espíritu compungido; Tú no despreciarás, Señor, un corazón contrito [y humillado]. A crushed spirit is a sacrifice to God. A contrite and humbled heart, O God, you will not spurn.20Por tu misericordia, Señor, obra benignamente con Sión; reconstruye los muros de Jerusalén. Act kindly, Lord, in your good will toward Zion, so that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.21Entonces te agradarán los sacrificios legales, [las oblaciones y los holocaustos]; entonces se ofrecerán becerros sobre tu altar. Then you will accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations, and holocausts. Then they will lay calves upon your altar.
