Salmos 68

1Al maestro de coro. Por el tono de “Los lirios”. De David. Unto the end. For those who will be changed: of David.2¡Sálvame, oh Dios! porque las aguas me han llegado al cuello. Save me, O God, for the waters have entered, even to my soul.3Estoy sumergido en lo hondo del fango, y no hay donde hacer pie; he caído en aguas profundas y me arrastra la corriente. I have become stuck in a deep quagmire, and there is no firm footing. I have arrived at the height of the sea, and a tempest has overwhelmed me.4Me he cansado de llamar, mi garganta ha enronquecido, han desfallecido mis ojos esperando a mi Dios. I have endured hardships, while crying out. My jaws have become hoarse; my eyes have failed. Meanwhile, I hope in my God.5Más que los cabellos de mi cabeza son los que sin causa me odian. Son demasiado poderosos para mis fuerzas los que injustamente me hostilizan, y tengo que devolver lo que no he robado. Those who hate me without cause have been multiplied beyond the hairs of my head. My enemies, who persecuted me unjustly, have been strengthened. Then I was required to pay for what I did not take.6Tú, oh Dios, conoces mi insensatez y mis pecados no te están ocultos. O God, you know my foolishness, and my offenses have not been hidden from you.7No sean confundidos por mi causa los que esperan en Ti, oh Señor, Yahvé de los ejércitos. Que no se avergüencen de mí quienes te buscan, oh Dios de Israel. Let those who wait for you, O Lord, the Lord of hosts, not be shamed in me. Let those who seek you, O God of Israel, not be confounded over me.8Es por tu causa si he sufrido oprobio y mi rostro se ha cubierto de confusión. For because of you, I have endured reproach; confusion has covered my face.9He venido a ser un extraño para mis hermanos; los hijos de mi madre no me conocen, I have become a stranger to my brothers and a sojourner to the sons of my mother.10porque me devora el celo de tu casa, y los baldones de los que te ultrajan cayeron sobre mí. For zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproached you have fallen upon me.11Me afligí con ayuno, y se me convirtió en vituperio. And I covered my soul with fasting, and it has become a reproach to me.12Me vestí de cilicio, y vine a ser la fábula de ellos. And I put on a haircloth as my garment, and I became a parable to them.13Murmuran contra mí los que se sientan a la puerta, y los bebedores me hacen coplas. Those who sat at the gate spoke against me, and those who drank wine made me their song.14Mas yo dirijo a Ti mi oración, oh Yahvé, en tiempo favorable, oh Dios, escúchame según la grandeza de tu bondad, según la fidelidad de tu socorro. But as for me, truly, my prayer is to you, O Lord. This time has pleased you well, O God. In the multitude of your mercy, in the truth of your salvation, hear me.15Sácame del lodo, no sea que me sumerja. Líbrame de los que me odian y de la hondura de las aguas. Rescue me from the quagmire, so that I may not become trapped. Free me from those who hate me and from deep waters.16No me arrastre la corriente de las aguas, ni me trague el abismo, ni el pozo cierre sobre mí su boca. Do not allow the tempest of water to submerge me, nor the deep to absorb me. And do not allow the well to close in on me.17Escúchame, Yahvé, porque tu gracia es benigna; mírame con la abundancia de tu misericordia; Hear me, O Lord, for your mercy is kind. Look upon me, according to the fullness of your compassion.18no escondas tu rostro a tu siervo, escúchame pronto porque estoy en angustias. And do not turn your face away from your servant, for I am in trouble: heed me quickly.19Acércate a mi alma y rescátala; por causa de mis enemigos, líbrame. Attend to my soul, and free it. Rescue me, because of my enemies.20Bien conoces Tú mi afrenta, mi confusión y mi ignominia; a tu vista están todos los que me atribulan. You know my reproach, and my confusion, and my reverence.21El oprobio me ha quebrantado el corazón y titubeo; esperé que alguien se compadeciera de mí, y no lo hubo; y que alguno me consolara, mas no le hallé. All those who trouble me are in your sight; my heart has anticipated reproach and misery. And I sought for one who might grieve together with me, but there was no one, and for one who might console me, and I found no one.22Por comida me ofrecieron hiel; y para mi sed me dieron a beber vinagre. And they gave me gall for my food. And in my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.23Conviértaseles su mesa en lazo y su holocausto en tropiezo. Let their table be a snare before them, and a retribution, and a scandal.24Obscurézcanse sus ojos para que no vean; y encorva siempre sus espaldas. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they may not see, and may their back always be crooked.25Vierte sobre ellos tu indignación, y alcánceles el ardor de tu ira. Pour out your indignation upon them, and may the fury of your anger take hold of them.26Devastada quede su casa, y no haya quien habite en sus tiendas. May their dwelling place be deserted, and may there be no one who dwells in their tabernacles.27Por cuanto persiguieron a aquel que Tú heriste, aumentaron el dolor de aquel que Tú llagaste. For they persecuted whomever you struck. And they have added to the grief of my wounds.28Añádeles iniquidad a su iniquidad, y no acierten con tu justicia. Assign an iniquity upon their iniquity, and may they not enter into your justice.29Sean borrados del libro de la vida, y no estén escritos con los justos. Delete them from the Book of the Living, and let them not be written down with the just.30Yo soy miserable y doliente, mas tu auxilio, oh Dios, me defenderá. I am poor and sorrowful, but your salvation, O God, has taken me up.31Alabaré el nombre de Dios en un cántico, le ensalzaré en un himno de gratitud; I will praise the name of God with a canticle, and I will magnify him with praise.32y agradará a Yahvé más que un toro, más que un novillo con sus cuernos y pezuñas. And it will please God more than a new calf producing horns and hoofs.33Vedlo, oh humildes, y alegraos, y reviva el corazón de los que buscáis a Dios. Let the poor see and rejoice. Seek God, and your soul will live.34Porque Yahvé escucha a los pobres, y no desprecia a sus cautivos. For the Lord has heard the poor, and he has not despised his prisoners.35Alábenlo los cielos y la tierra, los mares y cuanto en ellos se mueve. Let the heavens and the earth praise him: the sea, and everything that crawls in it.36Porque Dios salvará a Sión, y reedificará las ciudades de Judá; y habitarán allí, y tomarán posesión de ella. For God will save Zion, and the cities of Judah will be built up. And they will dwell there, and they will acquire it by inheritance.37La heredarán los descendientes de sus siervos, y morarán en ella los que aman su Nombre. And the offspring of his servants will possess it; and those who love his name will dwell in it.
