Romanos 14
But accept those who are weak in faith, without disputing about ideas.2Hay quien tiene fe para comer de todo, mientras el que es débil (de fe) come hierbas. For one person believes that he may eat all things, but if another is weak, let him eat plants.3El que come, no menosprecie al que no come; y el que no come, no juzgue al que come, porque Dios le ha acogido. He who eats should not despise him who does not eat. And he who does not eat should not judge him who eats. For God has accepted him.4¿Quién eres tú para juzgar al siervo ajeno? Who are you to judge the servant of another? He stands or falls by his own Lord. But he shall stand. For God is able to make him stand.5Hay quien distingue entre día y día; y hay quien estima (iguales) todos los días. Cada cual abunde en su sentido. For one person discerns one age from the next. But another discerns unto every age. Let each one increase according to his own mind.6El que se preocupa del día, lo hace para el Señor; y el que come, para el Señor come, pues a Dios da gracias; y el que no come, para el Señor no come, y da gracias a Dios. He who understands the age, understands for the Lord. And he who eats, eats for the Lord; for he gives thanks to God. And he who does not eat, does not eat for the Lord, and he gives thanks to God.7Porque ninguno de nosotros vive para sí, ni nadie muere para sí; For none of us lives for himself, and none of us dies for himself.8que si vivimos, vivimos para el Señor; y si morimos, morimos para el Señor. For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.9Porque para esto Cristo murió y volvió a la vida, para ser Señor así de los muertos como de los vivos. For Christ died and rose again for this purpose: that he might be the ruler of both the dead and the living.10Tú pues, ¿por qué juzgas a tu hermano? So then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.11pues escrito está: “Vivo Yo, dice el Señor, que ante Mí se doblará toda rodilla, y toda lengua ensalzará a Dios”. For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bend to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”12De manera que cada uno de nosotros ha de dar a Dios cuenta de sí mismo. And so, each one of us shall offer an explanation of himself to God.13Por tanto no nos juzguemos ya más unos a otros; al contrario, juzgad mejor no causar al hermano tropiezo o escándalo. Therefore, we should no longer judge one another. Instead, judge this to a greater extent: that you should not place an obstacle before your brother, nor lead him astray.14Bien sé, y estoy persuadido en el Señor Jesús, que nada es de suyo inmundo; mas para el que estima ser inmunda una cosa, para ese lo es. I know, with confidence in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in and of itself. But to him who considers anything to be unclean, it is unclean to him.15Si a causa de tu comida tu hermano se contrista, tu proceder ya no es conforme a la caridad. For if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are not now walking according to love. Do not allow your food to destroy him for whom Christ died.16No sea, pues, vuestro bien ocasión de blasfemia. Therefore, what is good for us should not be a cause of blasphemy.17Porque el reino, de Dios no consiste en comer y beber, sino en justicia y paz y gozo en el Espíritu Santo. For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but rather justice and peace and joy, in the Holy Spirit.18Por lo cual, quien en estas cosas sirve a Cristo, es agradable a Dios y probado ante los hombres. For he who serves Christ in this, pleases God and is proven before men.19Así pues, sigamos las cosas que contribuyen a la paz y a la mutua edificación. And so, let us pursue the things that are of peace, and let us keep to the things that are for the edification of one another.20No anules la obra de Dios por causa de una comida. Do not be willing to destroy the work of God because of food. Certainly, all things are clean. But there is harm for a man who offends by eating.21Bueno es no comer carne, ni beber vino, ni (hacer cosa alguna) en que tu hermano tropiece [o se escandalice, o se debilite]. It is good to refrain from eating meat and from drinking wine, and from anything by which your brother is offended, or led astray, or weakened.22Aquella fe que tú tienes, guárdala para contigo delante de Dios. Do you have faith? It belongs to you, so hold it before God. Blessed is he who does not judge himself in that by which he is tested.23Mas el que tiene dudas, si come, es condenado, porque no obra según fe, y todo lo que no procede de fe, es pecado. But he who discerns, if he eats, is condemned, because it is not of faith. For all that is not of faith is sin.
