1Os recomiendo a nuestra hermana Febe, que es diaconisa de la Iglesia de Cencrea, Now I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is in the ministry of the church, which is at Cenchreae,2para que la recibáis en el Señor, como conviene a los santos, y la ayudéis en cualquier asunto en que necesitare de vosotros; pues ella también ha ayudado a muchos y a mí mismo. so that you may receive her in the Lord with the worthiness of the saints, and so that you may be of assistance to her in whatever task she will have need of you. For she herself has also assisted many, and myself also.3Saludad a Prisca y a Aquila, mis colaboradores en Cristo Jesús, Greet Prisca and Aquila, my helpers in Christ Jesus,4los cuales por mi vida expusieron sus propias cabezas y a quienes no solo doy gracias yo, sino también todas las Iglesias de los gentiles; who have risked their own necks on behalf of my life, for whom I give thanks, not I alone, but also all the churches of the Gentiles;5y (saludad) a la Iglesia que está en su casa. Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.16Saludaos unos a otros en ósculo santo. Os saludan todas las Iglesias de Cristo. All the churches of Christ greet you.17Os exhorto, hermanos, que observéis a los que están causando las disensiones y los escándalos, contrarios a la enseñanza que habéis aprendido, y que os apartéis de ellos; But I beg you, brothers, to take note of those who cause dissensions and offenses contrary to the doctrine that you have learned, and to turn away from them.18porque los tales no sirven a nuestro Señor Cristo, sino al propio vientre, y con palabras melosas y bendiciones embaucan los corazones de los sencillos. For ones such as these do not serve Christ our Lord, but their inner selves, and, through pleasing words and skillful speaking, they seduce the hearts of the innocent.19Vuestra obediencia (a la fe) es ya conocida de todos. Me alegro, pues, por vosotros; mas deseo que seáis sabios para lo que es bueno, y simples para lo que es malo. But your obedience has been made known in every place. And so, I rejoice in you. But I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple in what is evil.20Y el Dios de la paz aplastará en breve a Satanás bajo vuestros pies. La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con vosotros. And may the God of peace quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.21Os saluda Timoteo, mi colaborador, como también Lucio y Jasón y Sosípatro, parientes míos. Amen.25A Aquel que puede confirmaros, según mi Evangelio y la predicación de Jesucristo, según la revelación del misterio oculto desde tiempos eternos, But to him who is able to confirm you according to my Gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, in accord with the revelation of the mystery which has been hidden from time immemorial,26pero manifestado ahora a través de las escrituras de los profetas, por disposición del eterno Dios, (siendo) notificado a todos los gentiles para obediencia de fe — (which now has been made clear through the Scriptures of the Prophets, in accord with the precept of the eternal God, unto the obedience of faith) which has been made known among all the Gentiles:27a Dios el solo Sabio, sea la gloria por Jesucristo, por los siglos de los siglos.
