1El que observa la Ley hace muchas oblaciones. Whoever observes the law multiplies oblations.2Sacrificio de salud es guardar los mandamientos, y alejarse de toda iniquidad. It is a salutary sacrifice to attend to the commandments and to withdraw from all iniquity.3Apartarse de la injusticia, es como ofrecer un sacrificio de propiciación por las injusticias, y remover la pena merecida por los pecados. And to depart from injustice is to offer a propitiatory sacrifice for injustices and a supplication for sins.4Así como el que ofrece la flor de harina tributa gracias, así el que hace misericordia, ofrece un sacrificio. Whoever gives thanks, offers a gift of fine flour, and whoever acts with mercy, offers a sacrifice.5Agrada al Señor el huir de la iniquidad; y el alejarse de la injusticia es ofrecer una oración por los pecados. To withdraw from iniquity is well-pleasing to the Lord. And to withdraw from injustice is a supplication for sins.6No comparezcas en la presencia del Señor con las manos vacías; You should not appear empty before the sight of the Lord.7porque todas esas cosas se hacen por mandamiento de Dios. For all these things are to be done because of the commandment of God.8La oblación del justo engrasa el altar, y es un olor suave en la presencia del Altísimo. The oblation of the just fattens the altar, and is a fragrance of sweetness in the sight of the Most High.9Acepto es el sacrificio del justo, y no se olvidará de él el Señor. The sacrifice of the just is acceptable, and the Lord will never forget the memorial of it.10Da con corazón generoso gloria a Dios, y no disminuyas las primicias de tus manos. Render glory to God with a good heart. And you should not reduce the first-fruits of your hands.11Todo lo que das, dalo con semblante alegre, y consagra tus diezmos con regocijo. With every gift, have a cheerful countenance, and sanctify your tithes with exultation.12Retribuye al Altísimo a proporción de lo que te ha dado, y preséntale con alegría ofrendas, según tus facultades; Give to the Most High according to his gifts to you, and act with a good eye toward the creations of your hands.13porque el Señor es remunerador, y te volverá siete veces más. For the Lord gives recompense, and he will repay you seven times as much.14No le ofrezcas dones defectuosos; porque no le serán aceptos. Do not be willing to offer corrupt gifts. For he will not accept them.15Y no cuentes para nada un sacrificio injusto; porque el Señor es juez, y no tiene miramiento al rango de las personas. And do not be willing to consider an unjust sacrifice. For the Lord is the judge, and with him there is no favoritism toward anyone.16No hace el Señor acepción de personas en perjuicio del pobre; Él escucha las plegarias del injuriado. The Lord will not accept favoritism against the poor, but he will heed the prayer of one who has been harmed.17No desechará los ruegos del huérfano; ni a la viuda cuando, derramare sus gemidos. He will not despise the prayers of the orphan, nor of the widow, if she utters a lamenting complaint.18Las lágrimas de la viuda, que corren por sus mejillas, ¿no son por ventura otros tantos clamores contra aquel que se las hace derramar? Do a widow’s tears not run down her cheek? And will her outcry not cause their downfall?19Desde las mejillas suben hasta el cielo, y el Señor que la escucha, no las verá sin irritarse. For from her cheek, her tears ascend even to heaven. And the Lord, the One who listens, will not take delight in them.20Quien adora a Dios con buena voluntad, será protegido, y su oración llegará hasta las nubes. Whoever adores God with joy will be accepted, and his prayer will reach even to the clouds.21La oración del humilde traspasará las nubes, y no reposará hasta acercarse al Altísimo; del cual no se apartará hasta tanto que Él le mire. The prayer of one who humbles himself will pierce the clouds. And it will not be consoled until it draws near; and it will not withdraw until the Most High beholds.22Y el Señor no dará largas, sino que vengará a los justos, y hará justicia; el Fortísimo no tendrá más paciencia con ellos, sino que quebrantará su espinazo. And the Lord will not delay, and he will judge for those who are just, and he will accomplish judgment. And the Almighty will not have patience with them, so that he may crush their back.23A las naciones les dará su merecido, hasta aniquilar la multitud de los soberbios, y desmenuzar los cetros de los inicuos; And he will repay vengeance to the Gentiles, until he has taken away the multitude of the arrogant, and broken the scepters of the iniquitous,24hasta dar el pago a los hombres según sus méritos, conforme a las obras de Adán y según su presunción; until he has rendered to men according to their deeds, and according to the works of Adam, and according to his presumption,25hasta que haya hecho justicia a su pueblo, y consolado con su misericordia a los justos. until he has judged the judgment of his people. And he will delight the just with his mercy.26Amable es la misericordia de Dios en el tiempo de la tribulación. Es como las nubes de lluvia en tiempo de sequía. The mercy of God is beautiful in the time of tribulation, like a rain cloud in the time of drought.
