Tobías 7

1Entraron en casa de Ragüel, el cual los recibió con alegría. And so they went to Raguel, and Raguel received them with gladness.2Y mirando Ragüel a Tobías, dijo a Ana, su mujer: “¡Cuan parecido es este joven a mi primo hermano!” And Raguel, gazing upon Tobias, said to Anna his wife, “How much like my cousin is this young man!”3Dicho esto, les preguntó: “¿De dónde sois, oh jóvenes, hermanos nuestros?” Respondieron: “Somos de la tribu de Neftalí, de los cautivos de Nínive.” And when he had spoken this, he said, “Which of our brethren are you from, young men?”4Ragüel les dijo: “¿Conocéis a Tobías, mi primo hermano?” “Le conocemos”, respondieron ellos. But they said, “We are from the tribe of Naphtali, from the captivity of Nineveh.”5Y mientras (Ragüel) hablaba mucho bueno de (Tobías), el ángel dijo a Ragüel: “Ese Tobías, por quien preguntas, es el padre de este.” And Raguel said to them, “Do you know my brother Tobit?” They said to him, “We know him.”6Entonces Ragüel se echó sobre él, le besó con lágrimas; y sollozando sobre su cuello, And since he was saying many good things about him, the Angel said to Raguel, “The Tobit about whom you inquire is the father of this young man.”7dijo: “Bendito seas tú, hijo mío, porque eres hijo de un varón bueno, muy bueno.” And Raguel threw himself towards him and kissed him with tears and weeping upon his neck, saying, “May a blessing be upon you, my son, because you are the son of a good and most noble man.”8Lloraron también Ana, su mujer, y Sara, hija de ambos. And his wife Anna, and their daughter Sarah, were weeping.9Después de hablar así, mandó Ragüel matar un carnero y preparar un convite. Y como les instase a que se sentasen a la mesa, And so, after they had spoken, Raguel instructed a sheep to be killed, and a feast to be prepared. And when he exhorted them to recline for dinner,10dijo Tobías: “Yo no comeré ni beberé hoy aquí, si antes no me otorgas mi petición y prometes darme a Sara, tu hija.” Tobias said, “Here, today, I will not eat or drink, unless you first confirm my petition, and promise to give Sarah your daughter to me.”11Al oír estas palabras, se pasmó Ragüel, sabiendo lo que había sucedido a los siete maridos que se habían casado con ella; y comenzó a temer que también a este sucediera lo mismo. Estando perplejo y sin dar respuesta al que preguntaba, When Raguel heard this word, he became afraid, knowing what had befallen those seven men, who had approached her. And he began to fear, lest it might happen to him also in the same way. And, since he wavered and gave no further response to the petition,12dijo el ángel a Ragüel: “No temas dársela; porque a este que teme a Dios debe darse tu hija por mujer; por eso ningún otro ha podido poseerla.” the Angel said to him: “Do not be afraid to give her to this one, because this one fears God. He is obliged to be joined to your daughter. Because of this, no other one could have her.”13Dijo entonces Ragüel: “No dudo que Dios ha admitido mis oraciones y lágrimas en su presencia, Then Raguel said: “I do not doubt that God has admitted my prayers and tears before his sight.14y creo que por esto os ha traído a mi casa, a fin de que esta reciba esposo de su parentela, según la Ley de Moisés. No tengas, pues, duda de que te la daré.” And I believe, therefore, that he has caused you to come to me, so that this one might be joined in marriage to one of her own kindred, according to the law of Moses. And now, do not continue to doubt that I will give her to you.”15Y tomando la mano derecha de su hija, la puso en la derecha de Tobías, y dijo: “El Dios de Abrahán, el Dios de Isaac y el Dios de Jacob sea con vosotros; Él os junte y cumpla en vosotros su bendición.” And taking the right hand of his daughter, he gave it into the right hand of Tobias, saying, “May the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob be with you. And may he join you together in marriage and fulfill his blessing in you.”16Luego, tomando papel, hicieron la escritura matrimonial. And taking paper, they made a written record of the marriage.17Después celebraron el convite, bendiciendo a Dios. And after this, they feasted, blessing God.18Luego llamó Ragüel a Ana, su mujer, y le mandó que preparase otro aposento. And Raguel called his wife Anna to him, and he instructed her to prepare another bedroom.19Ella introdujo allí a su hija Sara, que se puso a llorar. And she brought her daughter Sarah into it, and she was weeping.20Mas ella le dijo: “Ten buen ánimo, hija mía, El Señor del cielo te llene de gozo, en lugar del disgusto que has sufrido.” And she said to her, “Be steadfast in spirit, my daughter. May the Lord of heaven give you gladness in place of the grief that you have had to endure.”
