Salmos 90
1Tú que te abrigas en el retiro del Altísimo, y descansas a la sombra del Omnipotente, The Praise of a Canticle, of David. Whoever dwells with the assistance of the Most High will abide in the protection of the God of heaven.2di a Yahvé: “¡Refugio mío y fortaleza mía, mi Dios, en quien confío!” He will say to the Lord, “You are my supporter and my refuge.” My God, I will hope in him.3Porque Él te librará del lazo de los cazadores y de la peste mortífera. For he has freed me from the snare of those who go hunting, and from the harsh word.4Con sus plumas te cubrirá, y tendrás refugio bajo sus alas; su fidelidad es escudo y broquel. He will overshadow you with his shoulders, and you will hope under his wings.5No temerás los terrores de la noche, ni las saetas disparadas de día, His truth will surround you with a shield. You will not be afraid: before the terror of the night,6ni la pestilencia que vaga en las tinieblas, ni el estrago que en pleno día devasta. before the arrow flying in the day, before the troubles that wander in the darkness, nor of invasion and the midday demon.7Aunque mil caigan junto a ti y diez mil a tu diestra, tú no serás alcanzado. A thousand will fall before your side and ten thousand before your right hand. Yet it will not draw near you.8Antes bien, con tus propios ojos contemplarás, y verás la retribución de los pecadores. So then, truly, you will consider with your eyes, and you will see the retribution of sinners.9Pues dijiste a Yahvé: “Tú eres mi refugio”, hiciste del Altísimo tu defensa. For you, O Lord, are my hope. You have set the Most High as your refuge.10No te llegará el mal ni plaga alguna se aproximará a tu tienda. Disaster will not draw near to you, and the scourge will not approach your tabernacle.11Pues Él te ha encomendado a sus ángeles, para que te guarden en todos tus caminos. For he has given his Angels charge over you, so as to preserve you in all your ways.12Ellos te llevarán en sus manos, no sea que lastimes tu pie contra una piedra. With their hands, they will carry you, lest you hurt your foot against a stone.13Caminarás sobre el áspid y el basilisco; hollarás al león y al dragón. You will walk over the asp and the king serpent, and you will trample the lion and the dragon.14“Por cuanto él se entregó a Mí, Yo lo preservaré; lo pondré en alto porque conoció mi Nombre. Because he has hoped in me, I will free him. I will protect him because he has known my name.15Me invocará, y le escucharé; estaré con él en la tribulación, lo sacaré y lo honraré. He will cry out to me, and I will heed him. I am with him in tribulation. I will rescue him, and I will glorify him.16Lo saciaré de larga vida, y le haré ver mi salvación.” I will fill him with length of days. And I will reveal to him my salvation.
